Nah...he's fine. That's not going to hurt a young man permanently. He maybe has a bruise.

It's a bit like that movie with the boxer girl. The one where when she woke up paralized and she tried to chew through her tounge. Drool problem perhaps?

seriously? he landed hard on what amounts to maybe 3/16" of steel. curved steel. so all the force was well concentrated in a very fine line directly across his lower spine. if that was his neck, he'd be dead or a quad.

I wonder if he'll be table to walk after that?
...and I assume he failed Physics?

Huh? I said I doubt he'll be table to walk, as tables seem to turn for him.

Well, for one thing, he didn't even hit his head. There's no reason for him to act like he's dead. Since, he's 'acting', that's kinda proof he's OK. Also, he landed on his side. There's no direct contact with his spinal column there, lot's of muscle tissue etc to absorb the impact. Also, it's from what, 3-4 feet high? That's not enough force to cause any serious damage.

I'd wager this whole vid is staged, in fact.

I agree with solid that he is probably fine.

Reddit can be a pretty funny place

LOL... hilarious

His name is Derek Swanson,
He fell upon a table.
Get him to do an AmA,
As soon as he is able.

Derek Swanson
The bravest of all
Man without fear
No table too tall
Lives now in poem
No longer in form
Cracked like an egg
Eaten by worms
Humpty Dumpty sat high on a table
Happy to hear this similar fable
Derek joined him, perched in a dream
Together they live, forever in meme

Ximmy, it's not healthy. I pray for you. I don't know if you just need a big hug, or what, but taking pleasure in a man's pain is not a healthy lifestyle.

God bless, and be well.

Stanford is interested in SAT scores, GPA, interesting essays, and connections. not common sense.

but that had to hurt.

I am with Solid on this. It seems like he got the metal plate epicenter around 3-4 inches to the side of his spine. The idiot was lucky, maybe he got a fractured lower rib, or maybe some bleeding in his right kidney, but nothing major is my guess...
