I have read on several different occasions that SLV and GLD holders will be extremely upset when they realize that they cannot receive physical metals when they try to redeem their paper contracts (during the predicted Comex collapse or upcoming gold/silver squeeze).
I know that a portion of these paper contract holders know that the physcial metal holdings are oversold, but do you think that there really is a large portion of people that have bought GLD and SLV that don't understand that the holdings are oversold, and that they run a big risk of not receiving phyical when they try to redeem their paper contracts?

People don't generally buy SLV or GLD to receive physical metal. You can only take delivery of GLD gold in 100,000 share baskets, which is about 10,000 ounces, or about $17M dollars at today's price.

I didn't even know you could take physical delivery on GLD or SLV.
Like everyone here I am a proponent of the if you dont hold it you dont own it philosophy. That being said in my brokerage accounts AGQ is my biggest holding.
