Oh sheesh! I just watched this show for the first time. The animules that come into this shop are amazing. The store is owned by vipers biting each other. A real study of zombies.

the interaction between the jewish owners (their last name is gold, which i got a kick out of) and the blacks trying to pawn their stuff is interesting to say the least.
its amazing to see the amount of useless crap they have (ps3's, gold chains, fur coats, flat screen tv's, etc) that they need to get rid of...just to pay rent (or so they say :D)

The zombies line up to give away their gold & silver - and every twn or so there is a looney that starts jabber jivin. Man, have I been living a sheltered life! These animules are a good study for the days ahead. If you live anywhere near this kind of scum, MOVE NOW!

The pawn shop in my tiny town started with one unit and it now has expanded to three.......I been there twice to see if there was anything that I did like.........all junk and the prices that he wants are out of this world..........the only thing that I did like is the fact that he will buy your silver for two buck under the daily price and that's better than paying the hight tax that Uncle Sugar wants......something to remember for the future.

I watched it, thanks to this thread...and the internet.
Quite a lot of drama actually, over a pawn shop. There's no way there should be that much drama and misery over a pawn shop. Life's too short for that. I just don't understand why those folks are so abrasive, just in general.

It is outrageous.... how stupid people are. Watching this kind of stuff is a good reality check to know what we are dealing with. Some of these people are absolutely certifiably crazy.
It is a vision of desperation where logic is dead and reason is built on force and aggression, motivated by addictive wants.
Also, I have to wonder how much of this stuff is stolen. You see the hommies come in with computers and no power cords... no bags... no nuthin. I see they don't call the cops here.

\.
I think it might be, a good reality check actually. Notice the massive sense of entitlement from folks trying to sell their crap. They come in, have $ amount in their head that they think it's all worth, then flip out when they don't get it.
Folks were actually demanding money, for stupid reasons, girlfriends college books, etc...because they felt entitled to it. Like it was their right, to sell crap and get what they thought they deserved.
Unbelievable. If this is the masses that are going to be with us, when we try and rebuild our once great nation...God help us all.

This is precisely why I think pawn shop operators are the scum of the earth bottomfeeders. Generally with few exceptions they turn a blind eye to obviously hot goods.

Which is one of the reasons the cops visit them here, on a very irregular, regular basis. On my block 2 houses down, there was one of my neighbors houses got broken into and robbed yesterday or the day before. That is the first break in on this block in my memory and knowledge.

When I was robbed I went to the pawn shops and asked if they had taken a Husquvarna 55 rancher as a pawn in the last week
I heard from all of them " I am sorry sir we can't tell you due to privacy laws". The local cops took my report and there it sits to this day only a cop can come and ask a pawn shop if they have something.
But that is not in the budget due to cutbacks "that is a property crime sir and we can't detail an officer for that"

I have watched this show a few times as I am a big fan of pawnstars on the History Channel.
I would say that no doubt most of the drama is staged, perhaps almost all of it, but being in Detroit, right now,.... yea some of these strange shouting matches could be for real but I just do not buy it.
What a huge pawn shop. the square footage must be massive.

Everyone whose 'likeness' is used in any 'reality' teevee show is compensated, so naturally there's some incentive to make a scene (provided they're aware they can cash in for just showing up and making a scene).
