This whole Emergency Test makes me think it's time to start downloading useful videos

There are TONS of great and useful, HOW TO videos on youtube. So what would happen if you couldn't access the internet in the future, but you still had your PC or MAC? It's time to start making your own video library.

I use Foxfire as my web browser and you can get a module that makes it a one click process.

After you download and install the module, you'll can download all the useful videos you want, or just save the audio part of the video as an MP3.

EDIT - You won't be able to download a video until any advertising has finished playing, just an FYI.

What I need is already in my mind.........and if I don't need it is not worth it having it in my mind............but just in case..... I have a bunch of how to books.......at my age, what do you expect?

Look for and remember videos on how to from the old days.....I say old days because that's all that you will have to work with.

yep, great idea. I have a large video and text shtf library There is virtually, life times of reading on the web. If you do not have a e-Book reader you are missing out on a wealth of books for education and pleasure. Most all of the free ones are older titles but they are the classics of literature. Have just burned 2 double layered disks yesterday that hold several lifetimes of reading. And the reader (mine is a kindle) right now has a couple of years of reading on it right now.

So instead of hundreds or tons of books, One can have a very complete library that you can carry around in one hand!

If you do not like to read..tough shit! Your loss. ;D
