I justed visited a dollar store and bought 4 items. My bill came out to $3.33. I figured 4 items in a dollar store would be at least $4. So I guess deflation does exist.

Here is the fun. Limited time offer. If you can guess what I bought you win. If you are really skillful, it won't be a guess at all! The answer is posted.

Rules: Offer through the month of November 2011. You only get one guess unless we have a reset. ed- Unlimited number of guesses now allowed, but only 4 per post. First person per category wins that prize. Mods can play but are on the honor system that they will not use any advantages not afforded to everyone else.

For those who do not like to guess, but figure it out, you must know that it is not might that makes it right, but white. Hidden in a crowd like a chameleon you can defeat deflation wearing rose colored glasses. NUF said?

Still no direct hits. One more tiny piece of info- 2 items are the same thing. Since all you need is 1 or 2 of the 3 to win, your possible hits are for three items (although 4 were purchased). If you know what item was purchased twice, then stating that one item twice will win you CAT-2. You can still guess 4 different things, or figure out exactly what they are from the clues and references.

We have a winner! Since items 1 & 2 qualify MNeagle wins both the quarter and silver round. In a previous post, MNeagle almost got the salt part right- but had Epsom on the description. Not the same.

The deflation and defeated words were used a couple times. Other references you could have picked up on:
"NUF" - a search of "NUF" also gets you to that thread. I used the reverse of FUN so I could not forget what to search.... and noted in one of the clues that you need to use parentheses "NUF" in the search.

But you still need to know how to see the invisible. All these threads have a white background. Text written in white will be invisible. If you select my messages, you will see more clues. Once you get to that Deflation Defeated thread, do the same thing.... select the text to see what is hidden in white... like a chameleon.
