Poor guy takes 1 step into 6" of water, and gets eaten by a 30-foot killer whale.
That is just harsh.

Did some poking around the web about this and almost all agree , the video was shopped, If you look there was a seal that briefly showed that was the real target.

I agree ... most likely fake .... guy looks in the direction of the whale and doesn't respond? Also looks like he gets hit with the SIDE of the whale then somehow shows up in the mouth.
Still, accidents happen this unexpectedly.

That didn't seem like an accident, it seemed like the whale did it on purpose.

No worries... definitely "shopped". I've been into video editing my entire life, and lately I've seen some really well done videos that have me asking "how'd they do that?" This one was well done, but wouldn't be too difficult... now, someone posted one the other day of a car crash and explosion, and it had me scratching my head… well out of my pay grade. Amazing, the editing capabilities that can be had on a home computer these days.

Maybe instead of hanging folks, we should feed them to the whales instead. No need to pretend it's an accident, the whales are hungry, we need to get rid of some worthless turds in our society...everyone wins. :)

I hope that the people have been blessed by the holy ones.......don't want the killer whales to go to hell.

it was only 20 feet ! just a puppy.
the gospel among ocean folks, marine biologists, etc. is that there is no known history of any attacks by killer whales on human beings.
my theory is that, that's because they swallow them whole.
of course, i could test the theory by swimming off the coast of Washington State. but i think i'll procrastinate on that.

My first impression was fake. They way the guy went down just didn't look right.
Killer whales are crafty hunters, but they only like seals enough to risk breaching like that. If you get the chance download BBC Life 2009. Episode 7 hunters and hunted, really good. Really great series.

What made me think it was fake was the non-reaction of the person holding the camera. There is no way someone could film that and not have a physical reaction.

It"s a commercial for pencils.

TV commercial for La Sirena, (The Mermaid) a Dominican supermarket/department store.
No trip to DR is ever complete without a trip to La Sirena.
I still do not know why pencils are such a big part of their advertising though.
It’s obviously some joke I’m not still getting.
Last time I was there, there was a person lumbering around inside the store dressed in a giant inflatable pencil costume terrifying all the little ninos.
LOL.

Couldn't that be construed as animal cruelty?
