Hey, all that chicken shit has to go somewhere. Your dinner table is as good as any (from the perspective of mega-corporations).

I've been buying local honey for years now, quite glad I do. I had no idea about that one.

Chicken manure is actually quite high in protein. However, it has been described as "unpalatable". Therefore has been blended with corn silage or haylage to make up only 10% of a cows diet.
Other tricks commonly used are adding Portland cement to neutralize stomach acid and blowing anhydrous ammonia up with silage when filling the silo.
'Course you force your food provider to be competitive in a global marketplace you should not be surprised if he survives to your disadvantage in the long run.

As I understood it, it is about honey that have been "ultrafiltered", so that it doesn't contain any pollen whatsoever. As far as I understand it, that means it will become just another provessed sugar source, without most of the nutritional benefits of real honey, like sugar. I would imagine it would be anything that comes in a squeeze plastic bottle or in a portion pack, and super market brands. I didn't know about this before, and my wife likes to buy these squeeze bottles, so I will keep my eyes open, and try and find locally produced honey from small producers...

Speaking of those "squeeze bottles" like the honeybear that commercial honey comes in... I saw a YouTube made by some high-brow carpenter who is a whizbang at making square doors. He openly showed gluing up his stiles by using his "unbranded" wood glue in a repurposed honeybear squeeze bottle. ;D
no chickenshit in MY beefsteak!!!!!!!

The FDA says that this is not honey, it has been processed, and this has also
been done to hide the source of the honey, reports are it is laden with heavy
metals and banned antibiotics, the honey is from China and India.

" It is a spin-off of a technique refined by the Chinese, who have illegally dumped tons of their honey - some containing illegal antibiotics - on the U.S. market for years.
Food Safety News decided to test honey sold in various outlets after its earlier investigation (http://www.foodsafetynews.com/2011/08/honey-laundering/) found U.S. groceries flooded with Indian honey banned in Europe as unsafe because of contamination with antibiotics, heavy metal and a total lack of pollen which prevented tracking its origin."
What is the point of any regulations of any kind if they can be circumvented by third worlders ?
Third world suppliers are to be trusted more than local suppliers ?
WTF ?

I absolutely hate the taste of "regular" store bought honey, cant' stand it. But I love the taste of honey still on the comb. I buy locally made honeycomb slices in boxes, and cut chunks out to enjoy on a regular basis. I've always suspected there was something wrong with "regular" honey, but now that I know it's fake it makes sense.
ETA: Also, I understand that the beeswax has some beneficial health effects, so I eat a little of the wax too.

"In my judgment, it is pretty safe to assume that any ultra-filtered honey on store shelves is Chinese honey and it's even safer to assume that it entered the country uninspected and in violation of federal law," he added.
More poison from China. I really think they purposely seek to export garbage to weaken Amerika.
