The Empire expands.

The Pentagon’s shadow war in Africa could have a new front, if reports coming out of Nigeria are accurate. U.S. troops are headed to Nigeria to help local forces do battle with Boko Haram (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/nov/06/nigeria-muslim-sect-attacks-deathtoll), an Islamic terror group that has killed up to 400 people this year in an escalating campaign of bombings and shootings. At least that’s what Nigerian military sources tell Scott Morgan (http://confusedeagle.livejournal.com/), a journalist based in Washington, D.C. who writes under the pseudonym “Confused Eagle.” The Guardian also has the story (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/nov/08/nigerian-taliban-us-boko-haram?newsfeed=true).
U.S. officials have refused to confirm the deployment.

Maybe The Great Leader got confused and thinks he is going to kill these guys.

Interesting, we just donated a Coast Guard Cutter to the Nigerian Navy, free of charge. Nigeria than spent 8 million to refurbish it. Nigeria now has Navy fleet of 2 ships, wooohooo!

We are supposed to donate another one, in a couple of years. I wonder why?

By the way, the ship we gave them is named NNS Thunder. Great name.

Well, maybe the troops are being sent to secure the pipelines and to make sure that there are no more strikes.

Tis a racket.
