And now I hear them saying... Well just imagine how bad things would be today if we had not bailed the banks and such out.

Instead of paying the bankers for their mistakes.... they should have given the money to the people to spend as that wished. Then the debt crisis would fade away as the banks went belly up... and the people payed down their debts and or bought items that would help (in the short time) invigorate the economy.

I believe that you should never bail out any business, Let them pay for their mistakes otherwise why would they care to do the right thing when they know that you and I will always back them up so they can do it all over again.
