I can see that most of you have your head in the sand with the hope that you are only dreaming about the drop in price........to me this only means that someone is pulling back on the rubber of the spear gun to then LET GOOOOOO.
If you were to read the world news, as I do, you would see that there is a shortage in the metal and that what is going on is nothing more than a game being played by the coat and ties.......a game that they will loose because "We The People" are now taking over..........so don't be nervous and enjoy the ride, I have been doing it now for 28 years.
Remember that when all the paper is sweep away what lies in the bottom is pure physical silver......
Don't be a Celente, be a Ponce hahahahahahahahahha, sorry, can't help it....friking idiot, he will be crying about this till the day that he dies.

I'm tempted to buy right now. Junk silver is ultra cheap, but I have almost no Eagles. What to do? What are your thoughts on holding junk silver versus Eagles? Any ratios, because I still haven't sold and I heard that that Gold/Silver law in Utah only allows Eagles, though I can't verify that.

Shami? please don't buy "fancy" silver........to me one oz of silver is one oz of silver and as long as it is of the .999 that is then plenty good for me.........spend the extra cash for the fancy silver in buying more silver....."What counts is not what you buy but, what you have"... Ponce

My favorite has always been junk silver since it's the cheapest, easiest to resell, divisible into smaller portions, made by the US government, and it's the least questioned for authenticity.
Of course the downsides are always that it sells for not as much, it's off quality usually, and it's not .999.

What did premiums go up?
Oh, and Ponce, I think most of us here see today's action as a blip.
Some dollar action helped spurred it along, but commodities across the board were beat down today. This was not metal specific even if "the dog" did get beat down more so percentage wise.
I think MF reprecussions are still moving through the system.
There is also a lot of talk of a liquidity freeze going on now. If people need cash, they sell.

I've always bought the dips in silver, which in 2011 have been severe, and provided deep discounts. I have some capital to deploy and am considering buying more tonight, although a part of me wants to wait until the end of the week and see how the markets shake out. Ultimately though I have to just take my own advice and not try to chase the bottom.

This is Sept./Oct. 2008, take two. I thought Europe was going to go then, but it held out for a few years, and could take everything with it. MF Global may be the tip of the iceberg. The price of [paper] silver means little at this point. If you can get physical at a good price, then this may be an opportunity.

It's time to buy as much silver as you can. I'm still way positive. Hell I bought at $45. The markets are FINISHED, the dollar, the euro are all FINISHED, it's just a matter of time. The only fuckers coming out of this alive are PM holders, and you have to PHYSICALLY hold it.

I would love to see silver drop to $12 again. I know it would be temporary... and it would also mean that either the controllers stopped printing FRNs or they are not yet flooded into the market. The deflationary pressures of defaults are wiping out "money supply". The fictional money evaporates as quickly- maybe quicker, than it originates.
If the economies of the world go into hibernation, the flow of money (velocity) drops to a cold molasses creep and businesses shut down. People without money cannot buy things. They will be selling their silver, gold, children, pets, computers, etc.... just for heat and food.
What is the alternative? Two scenarios. One is that we do not fall into such a collapsed state. We have been faking this scenario with increased government borrowing and pumping up banks & stock market with YOUR money. You should feel patriotic. If they keep faking it, the national debt will have to increase. I heard yesterday on the radio that CONgress extended the debt limit again to keep the govt running to mid December. This game can go on for months... maybe years.
Eventually, we will see a fork in the road. Either the federal reserve will be used to give away free money without the need to pay it back... total anathema for a debt currency, or, they will call due all their debts. In that case, the private owners of the federal reserve, with the help of carefully placed government officials, begin to take possession of US assets. It will be interesting to see how they deal with state governments in the shorter term, when they default. I do think that ultimately, it is a chess game to corner all the assets. One central power through its proxy- the banks, will amass most of the properties and materials.

Things are radically different than they were in 2008. Not necessarily the fundamentals but the attitudes towards the system and the problems we face. I don't see silver dropping below $25.
And if we do see it drop below that floor, no metal dealer will be insane enough to let it go at that price. They will all bust out the sold out signs.

Ponce? I do have a few comments on the price of silver and they are the following:
1. Silver will NOT hit $50 in 2011 (Been saying that since April and I will be proven right)
2. $26 was the bottom for silver and I do not see silver breaking $26 on the downside.
3. I think that silver will end up finishing somewhere between $37 and $41 on the last day of trading for 2011.
4. JPM still controls the silver market with its naked short positions.
5. Silver is a DOG
6. I have won the 3 TP bet. Sorry Ponce but you lost the bet since it is now a given that silver will not hit $50 this year.
That's all that needs to be said about silver.
I have spoken.

Ponce? the 3 rolls of tp have to be unused. Hahahahahaha!!!!!!! Hey Ponce, I might decide not to collect on my bet but I have not made a final decision yet. Losing to me must be a traumatic experience and I do not want you to fall into a deep depression over losing 3 rolls of tp in a bet. That fact that I was right is good enough for me. :)

Yeah I will always visit but I do not plan to post as much on GSUS like I used to. I will just be mainly a lurker and will occasionally post if there is an interesting thread to post on.

Here is an interesting vid- watch for Larry Edelson's analysis in this link. He has been pretty good in figuring things out.
