So cool I printed it all out and sent it to my grandmother of ~90ish, hope she can fire up her projector cause the docs sure messed up her eyes with fixins.

The pictures seem to focus on pollution, decay, abandonment, and poverty. Maybe it's because the 1970's had quite a bit of those things.

We talk a lot here about how things are getting bad and we may be headed for a Greater Depression. Yet we have not even begun to approach the run-down feeling that shadowed the 1970's. As a kid, I didn't really know the world any other way, so I didn't think that much of it. But I remember realizing some time around 1990 how nice and "fixed up" things seemed after a full decade of renewal.

I bring this up because we sometimes argue about whether TS has already HTF. It hasn't.

...It is interesting to notice the gas prices in #24 at the lower right edge. Thirty cents a gallon in April 1972 -- a mere 8 months after Richard "I am not a crook" Nixon took us off the gold standard. Price at the pumps today is $3.25/per gallon, roughly 10 times as much. No inflation here!

The 70's? ....... what I missed the most is DISCOOOOOOOOOOOO...... man oh man did I have fun, between my trips overseas on "business".

And I do missed the girl that was my wife for six years...... but now? better say nothing.
