Each individual is free to select their beliefs. Some let others do it for them. The entire premise that Jews are God's people as a proxy for the rest of humanity is just simply rediculous. I do not consider them *my* representatives, nor do I think a number of others do either. The biblical arguments Christians foist to support Israel are beliefs without the checks and balances of earthly reality - that being the very pariah state that threatens world destruction is our "strongest ally" and that Christians should stand with them in their hour of trouble (which seems to be perpetual). Only fools don't connect the dots between advanced weapons development and the US government's slavish devotion to Israel's eventual ascension to superpower status and the abuses they will surely commit as a result.
