Four people charged with 14-year-old’s death

DAYTON, OH (WHIO/CNN) – An Ohio mother and nurse were charged Thursday in the death of the woman's 14-year-old daughter.

A grand jury in Dayton, OH indicted the mother and nurse on involuntary manslaughter charges. Prosecutors say the girl had cerebral palsy and weighed only 28 pounds.

The county coroner's office says Makayla Norman died March 1, from nutritional and medical neglect, complicated by her chronic condition.

Authorities say the teen died minutes after paramedics rushed her to a hospital.
Two other nurses were indicted on lesser charges of failing to report child abuse or neglect.

All four were being held in the county jail.

This is very sad. What's even more sick, is given the huge size of the child's mother, she's obviously has a healthy appetite. To much, to share with her child it seems. This is murder.
