And what the hell do they think that the Federal Reserve has been doing for almost 100 years?.
================================================== ==
A Fort Worth man has been sentenced to 80 years in prison for trying to buy movie theater hot dogs with counterfeit cash.
Charles Cleveland Nowden was sentenced Friday, two days after being convicted of forgery.
Two years ago Nowden used a fake $20 bill when trying to buy hot dogs, popcorn and soft drinks at a Mansfield movie theater. Prosecutors say after his arrest, a police officer found more counterfeit bills worth $120 tucked into a wrapper of one of the hot dogs.

They just said it. The counterfeit bills are "worth $120".

This is great news, potentially. If this guy got 80 yrs for using counterfeit money, surely every single person employed by the Federal Reserve will soon receive life sentences and we as a society will finally have honest money.

That's what you call irony. The irony is the Federal Reserve wants interest on their counterfeit notes and we get forced at the barrel of a gun to pay it.

We on this forum understand the irony, but the masses do not. They accept the legitimacy of the authorities printing money to finance the gov't, but do not accept the legitimacy of a man printing money to buy a hot dog. There is no difference on a moral level; printing money is counterfeiting money.

Actually, I think everyone in the world who has ever has passed a Federal Reserve Note would have to do time. I believe by using them you then become an agent of the Federal Reserve?
Around my area business's have been posting that they are not accepting $20's & $50's as someone has been passing counterfeit bills...I have to give a chuckle every time I see the sign.

Steal $1,000 go to jail.
Steal $10,000 go to prison.
Steal $1,000,000 get elected to public office.
Steal $1,000,000,000 get recruited by Goldman.
I see another CEO position in Corzine's future. Maybe even a future replacement for Timmay G.

$1.2 billion missing - embezzled from MF Global private customer accounts. And where's Jon Corzine, the mastermind of this theft? So law enforcement has time to arrest a guy for spending a counterfeit $20 bill but no time to arrest and question Jon Corzine about $1,200,000,000.00 that is missing and unaccounted for?
The rule of law is dead and buried in America. The government has lost all legitimacy. Anyone who entrusts his funds to these markets is a fool and a knave. The Secret Service has degenerated into a modern day Praetorian Guard determined to protect the corrupt criminal enterprise at all costs.

Agents don't own the property in their possession. Would a UPS driver be convicted of trafficking drugs if a drug dealer mailed a bag of coke to their customer?

I don't understand how the prosecution and judge can justify the sentence. They are going to make the taxpayer pay to incarcerate this guy for the rest of his life? Over a hot dog and $120 of "fake" money?
At 40k a year (a very modest estimate) x 50years (assuming he won't live to be 100 in jail) that is 2 million dollars. That is much more damage to society then leaving him free to pass counterfeit bills on occasion.
Give me a fuckin break!

I heard the figure was closer to 10k a yr. Also, as the money devalues so would the cost of incarceration. Not to mention the fact that if this were to catch on we could be facing a real revolution. Remember history? It costs the corporation less money in the long run to lock him up. Who here will remember this story tomorrow?

Steal $10,000,000,000,000 your family is the owner of most central banks in the world, and are right now thinking of whether CEO of Goldman Sachs or Treasury secretary of USA is the right position for hotshot Corzine...

Bonds are sold.
The system makes their money by sticking people in jail. Bid, performance and payment bonds. They are sold to other countries that like to do business (exports) to the U.S. This man is going to fund 80 years of cheap Chinese products.
