I am not trying to spam... I have no connection to this company other than just buying from them. What do you think of these nice close in defense?

I know a gun would be better... but for right now I dont want the scrutiny that a CCL would cause me to receive! 8-)

Considering all the poopy/farty threads lately, I didn't think it too much of a stretch!

Regarding the taser and pepper spray, you have to make sure that that will be enough to deter your assailant. The taser's good for maybe one guy but he has to be right up close to you, and what if he's got friends, or what if he's wearing a thick jacket and you can't make contact with his skin? Then the pepper spray, that's a gamble in the sense that it might just as well anger him than make him retreat. I think that if you think your self defense scenarios through, you want something that will give you maximum protection from maximum thugs at maximum distance, which would be a handgun.

Now if they made a combo mace spray with switchblade knife device that would be a full time carrier for me.

Me too. Hey Zappy, I heard wasp spray? is supposed to be good too. Isn't that weird ?
Not sure 'bout that one yet, but I thought it was interesting .

I have a cordless drill by my backdoor, too. My husband keeps telling me to put it back in the basement,
but I feel good with that dumb drill by my door for some reason.
Hell wasp spray & cordless drill who'd wanna come by here to cause trouble ?

Seriously, I too need a pepper spray to have on my keychain.

The wasp spray thing is actually a really good idea. I have read about it, and instead of a "spray", it can be focused in a direction like a stream, so you can avoid being effected by it. Also, wasp spray can shoot pretty far, farther than most pepper sprays. I have some in my bedroom.

LOl Ohl Hope you had a good thanksgiving!, I don't worry to much about safety here at home a dog and a shotgun, and I try not to put myself in a bad situation, but depending on what truck or car I am driving I have different tools that I could use if need be, in the little truck there is a great big pipe-wrench, there is a bat in the car, maybe with the 4x4 I could just run em over? ;) oh there is some spray oil in there too>

Get a Bulldog holster to go along with the 380 Ruger or Keltec. I carry all the time on my belt and no one pays any attention to me. They have a cell phone holster that the 380's fits. You need to reinforce the stiching on the belt strap with carpet thread. I got several of them for ten bucks at a sporting goods store. link here http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/60355-33.html

That's hot! Seriously, I could rarely conceal anything that would protect me. I don't wear a lot of baggy clothing, particularly not at home in this heat.

HA !!! oooo pipe wrench, I like that one, too. I got hooked on the power tool thing & feel safe with them for some reason. I like nail guns too.
I just wanna move to our BO cabin, but it's sooo far deep in the woods I would never ever be able to get out of there in the winter.

Power tools OHL :) You just gotta make sure the batteries are hot ! LOL, wouldn't want to try to use that drill on an attacker and the battery is dead.

Yeah I agree in spirit... however for me to carry a gun in a concealed or open in manor... would bring leo's eyes my way. And for me , this not a good thing, as I need ZERO looks or interest in my person. Stealth and below the radar keeps me free. nuf sed! 8-)
