Something you're unlikely to see being done by Boeing or Airbus test pilots.

Is that plane doing a roll, or was the picture just taken from a person standing under the plane as it flew overhead?

Photo credit is attributed to Glenn Beasley who has over 2,600 photos on airliners.net - I seriously doubt a bona fide aviation shutterbug would besmirch his reputation by spoofing a photo. Besides the shadows give it away.

In 1955 during the Seattle Seafair event a pilot did a roll in a jet that was the prototype for the Boeing 707

Yeah, but as I'm asserting, you won't see a Boeing company pilot doing that these days. The photo in the OP was from last year's FIA.
Northwest Airlines Boeing 707 flyby at Winsted, Minnesota, 1966.
Capt. Aspeland: How low do you want me? A thousand feet? Five hundred?
Winsted Tower: You're the captain.http://www.aviationpics.de/airshow/707buzz4.jpg
