Any GSUS'ers near Tyler? If so Hi neighbor!

Released by Salvation Army:

The Salvation Army has been blessed by an anonymous donation of a 1/2 troy ounce American Gold Eagle bullion coin that was dropped yesterday in the kettle at FRESH by Brookshires.

Based on the current price of gold, this coin is valued at approximately $850.00. We are continuously grateful for the wonderful support of the community in helping us Do The Most Good in Smith county.

We still have a huge and immediate need for bell ringers to staff our kettle locations. With over 3000 bell ringing hours still left to fill, we are encouraging everyone to spread the word.

Individuals, office groups, churches and families are asked to sign up to ring a bell. The money we receive from our kettles helps fund our operations at The Salvation Army year around and it is easy to register. Go to www.ringbells.org (http://www.ringbells.org/) and sign up for your shift today.

The one's you are referring too (refuse to name) I will never , never give a single Pennie.

The salvation army is the only worthy and honest bunch in the entire mix. They talk the talk and walk
the walk, and live the life, that is worthy.

Look in the comments: "$850!! That's a lot of dough... Gold for Dollars gave me $39.99 each for my 1/2 troy ounce American Gold Eagle bullion coins... said 1/2 ounce weren't popular... Oh well I needed the cash... du-hilt..."

The reason why I make mention was because last year I was in school and right across the street was a bed bath and beyond For those who don't know The chosen go to BB&B like it is their private tabernacle.

So I got to see them on a daily basis

Never once did they drop a penny in over the course of the season

Every year I drop a silver one oz........but......I wrap it in a one dollar bill so that no one will noticed it.

Back in 1996 I change $1,000 into $5.00's, I then went to the Salvation Army Church where they were serving free Christmas meal.......there was a long line of people waiting......I started at the back, paying attention as to who he was, I then walked towards the front of the line as fast as possible giving everyone one of the bills.....didn't give anyone time to say anything...by the time that I gave everyone a bill I then went back to the end of the line and gave the rest to the newcomers......I believe that I had about 5 bills left over by the time that I fineshed...........that was fun.

There will be alot of families in need this year. You are right, and I am afraid the numbers will grow as time and the years pass. There seems to be no end, to the tunnel and no light seen at the end.

Half ounce Gold Eagle. So that's 25 bucks for the Salvation Army, right? Not sure of the percentage, but the vast majority of the money will go to the needy, their leadership do not make millions.

By the way, don't give to the "Red Cross'.........after all this time they have given only 35% of the money to the people, according to them they want to "figure" out where is best to put the money in.........but of course they get their high pay every month............I don't know if the woman is still incharged but she's a Zionist and always talking about helping the state of Israel.
