That'd be the Yakhont aka the Onyx, speed ~Mach 2.9, range 180+ miles. The Yakhont has 'end run maneuvering' and the USN has no effective means of defending against it.

If the MIC keeps poking everyone with a sharp stick, we'll have WW3 soon.

From the link in the original article;

Another Russian official told Interfax that the missiles, which operate as part of the Bastion mobile coastal defense system, "will be able to protect Syria's entire coast against a possible attack from the sea."

Each Bastion system is equipped with 36 cruise missiles as well as truck-mounted radar and other equipment.

That's some serious firepower !!

Russia's military is "shoring up" its defenses before the big one breaks out.

The east end of the Med. is one big choke point.

the USN has no effective means of defending against it.

They should investigate the concepts of negative bouyancy or that of placing the center of gravity above the center of buoyancy in hopes of a flyby.

Hahahaha......
Bet we do!
The 117 stealth is 80's technology imagine what we have now.................we arent to worried about the USSR or China now are we as any kind of threat. We are militarily present just about everywhere and expanding inspite the economic problems. I think we have something not yet out of the bag. Lazer technology is now being junked commercially and in the manufacturer industry...................its old technology. Technology that has come to age a while ago and bet your ass its application and developement has been exploited thoroughly by well funded corporations a long time ago and still being advanced.
Russia cant possibly be ahead of any technology we already investigated!

It's worth noting that the jawjackers in the District of Criminal quit talking smack about how they were going to defend Taiwan 'no matter what' directly after the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) conducted a field trial of a Yakhont anti-ship cruise missile launched from one of their Sovremenny class destroyers acquired from Russia (as in "watch this") literally hitting the 'x-ring' on the decommissioned ship they shot it at.

You can engage in all the wishful thinking you want, but you can't change the fact that a salvo of Yakhont anti-ship cruise missiles are unstoppable (short of using some 'alien technology' lol).

I'm glad that Syria can defend itself. I've been to that country and love it there.

If it has a range of 180+ miles, can't the carrier group sit back 250 miles and send out their war-planes?

Yep, and also could use some cruse missiles to take out fixed battery's. Bunch of ways to take out those systems from a stand off distance.

Do you really think the Russians will let them do that without some action on the part of the Russians?

Ultimately the Chinese and the Russians are going to step in and say 'Enough!'

You know, I would hate to see more lives lost; but we need to see the ZOG checked somehow. I hope China and Russia does do something.

Honestly, since 2006 there's been talk about "it's on" with Iran etc. I've come to the conclusion that it's all bullshit, it's all a distraction from real doom, which is the Western Civilization Jewish financial FIAT construct, from fractional reserve banking to Keynesian economics. It's all a farce.

Everything that is happening now, before our eyes, is just a broken system trying to keep itself alive. The problem is that they're using our blood, sweat and tears as the fuel, and don't even bat an eye at continuing our demise.

If I could I would help the Syrians........I love the US but dislike the government because it really does not represent the people and foreign countries thinks that we are the govenment.........not any more.
