I'll have to disagree with you. I was in China recently on business and went to the great wall for sight seeing. I saw quite a few soldiers there sight seeing as well and they were mostly large hard looking young men who would easily kick the ass of the average American. In fact I was surprised by how large people are in northen China. They looked to be as tall and large on average as North Americans. They also looked you in the eye and basically conveyed the message that you better not fvck with them.

In fact in the other parts of China that I visited all the young people were large, healthy and well fed. Only the older people were smaller and more beaten up looking. Lots of confidence in the young Chinese.
