What does he mean when he says "hopefully you'll be able to get out in time when the rocket ship takes off?" Get out before a massive drop following a massive gain?

I don't remember him saying that, but I do remember him saying something to the effect that he wouldn't be surprised if another price drop similar to 2008 occurred in the future and, that the long term trend for the next few years in silver is bullish

Yes, that's exactly what he means. Once it goes "rocket ship", there'll be a limited amount of time before it peaks and falls back down. ie the point where a large percentage of those who have been holding decide to start cashing in. You gotta cash-in during the massive gain.
Kinda like when it almost hit $50, those waiting for $50 lost out, but those willing to sell in the $43-$47 range made $ to re-buy at $26 and keep a nice profit too.

When the proverbial "rocket" takes off for real, the trick is in knowing where the apex of the rocket will be.
ie is it a single stage rocket destined for LEO? Or a Saturn V on its way to the Moon? Because you wouldn't want to sell at $1,000 just to watch it hyper-inflate to $500,000,000,000 in someone elses hands, now would you?
....but then you can't wait 'til it crashes, either. If so, you're right back to where ya are now, but wishing you'd have sold. lol

BTW, did anyone else see this video after the one posted in the OP? It's an entertaining watch. He's def got the "bug". lol
