Splashed all over the news has been the new version of green shoots: GREEN MONDAY! Estimates of more shipments to be going out today should be straining the shipping companies as people buy and send more than ever before. The implication is that the economy is getting better- so much so that we can keep buying garbage and shipping it to each other.
Hmmm... somebody better tell the world the good news. China's demand for metals- including steel is way down. Europe is a basket case and only being held afloat by the promise of IMF (Federal Reserve / US taxpayers' debt) money swaps... meaning, give us your junk and we will give you our soon-to-be junkier dollars.
Merry Chirstmas... ooops, strike that... Happy Holidays to all you optimistic buyers out there!

Thanks Ponce.... unfortunately, I think you are 100% correct about that. We are slipping down the slope of a greased rock wall.... something even Wile E Coyote would worry about.

The bastages were careful to bump the DJI above 12,000 at the end. I am beginning to think that they fear a real market sell off if certain technical triggers are hit. They have been pumping the market up only to let the steam out for a little run. This way they keep the whole think from crashing until they can figure a way to get more debt around the necks of the goyim.

I thought 08 was going to be the last Christmas? Then I thought it would be 09. 10 was definitely going to be the last Christmas.

You have 13 days to be proven correct.

I just mean that I've been hearing "this is gonna be the last Christmas ever" thing for years now and it never happens, not that I expect it to.
We are in the process of the SHingTF, it doesn't happen all at once. For individuals it can, and it can for society in the case of some huge financial meltdown or FF event, but that hasn't completely happened yet. It's a slow grind. Frankly though I wouldn't mind losing Christmas as we know it, in the material sense.
