Lately I have access to almost unlimited pre WW1 silver coins of .835 purity. I can get them almost at spot price. Should I just go mad and buy like crazy ? Those coins also have some numismatic value and are in good condition....

How much is "almost at spot price?"

"... almost unlimited pre WW1 silver coins..."

An almost unlimited supply? Really? What does that mean? I would interpret that as meaning thousands of them. Is that what you mean?

"...of .835 purity."

What coins would those be? Morgans and Peace are .900 purity.

I can get them almost at spot price.

Spot price for each coin, or spot price for melt weight? For instance, with silver at $29, spot price for Morgan's are $22.71.

This is from the link above for the 1 French Franc. Melt value is 3.82 in FRNs.

1898-1920 Franc 0.1342 oz Ag $3.82
(83.5%)

Thousands would be easy with these if there is quantity.

There is also the 2 Franc and the 5 Franc. All Pre WWI.

Learn something new everyday.

Not really thousands guys :) By almost unlimited I mean that I don't have the money to buy them all from a source.
Price is around dollar per gram content.

Coins in question :

The thing is that I always buy bullion 1 ounce coins, mostly silver philharmonics and this opportunity presented itself to me. Have to sleep over....

Just wondering. What is the main topic of conversation in Serbia currently?

Currently people mostly talk about European Union. Serbia didn't get candidate status. They were blocked by Germany due to issues in Kosovo and now some Serbs say that it is Germany's hegemony all over again.

Is it the brain washing by their EU tard politicians for wanting EU status? Currency valuations? Do they see the Euro imploding before their very eyes?

Policy of the ruling party revolves around EU integrations.
Not much difference in currency over the past weeks but yes, many think the Euro is done.

I heard from my friend in France that Germany is holding some heavy cards and calling the shots, to the chagrin of others... Not a bad thing...

in the US, we can buy Mexico silver coins at spot - but at best they get 75% of spot on re-sale. that's a big 'spread' between buy & sell.

the question is, in Serbia, what is the spread - how much could you get for these coins when you re-sell them ?

one option is to offer 75% of spot for a larger quantity.
