3.5 Million Homeless and 18.5 Million Vacant Homes in the US.

1 commentBy Diane Sweet

The National Economic and Social Rights Initiative along with Amnesty International are asking the U.S. to step up its efforts to address the foreclosure crisis, including by giving serious consideration to the growing call for a foreclosure moratorium and other forms of relief for those at risk, and establishing a housing finance system that fulfills human rights obligations.

New government census reports have revealed disturbing information that details the cold, hard numbers of Americans who have been deeply affected by the state of our economy, and bank foreclosure practices:

In the last few days, the U.S. government census figures have revealed that 1 in 2 Americans have fallen into poverty or are struggling to live on low incomes. And we know that the financial hardships faced by our neighbors, colleagues, and others in our communities will be all the more acutely felt over the holiday season.

Along with poverty and low incomes, the foreclosure rate has created its own crisis situation as the number of families removed from their homes has skyrocketed.

Since 2007, banks have foreclosed around eight million homes. It is estimated that another eight to ten million homes will be foreclosed before the financial crisis is over. This approach to resolving one part of the financial crisis means many, many families are living without adequate and secure housing. In addition, approximately 3.5 million people in the U.S. are homeless, many of them veterans. It is worth noting that, at the same time, there are 18.5 million vacant homes in the country.

The stark realities that persist mean that millions of families will be facing the holidays in temporary homes, or homes under threat, and far too many children will be wishing for an end to the uncertainty and distress their family is facing rather than an Xbox or Barbie doll.

Housing is a basic human need and a fundamental human right. Yet every day in the United States, banks are foreclosing on more than 10,000 mortgages and ordering evictions of individuals and families residing in foreclosed homes. The U.S. government’s steps to address the foreclosure crisis to date have been partial at best.

The depth and severity of the foreclosure crisis is a clear illustration of the urgent need for the U.S. government to put in place a system that respects, protects and fulfills human rights, including the right to housing. This includes implementing real protections to ensure that other actors, such as financial institutions, do not undermine or abuse human rights.

There is a link available at the Amnesty International website for anyone who is interested and would like to join the call on the Obama administration and Congress to urgently step up efforts to address the foreclosure crisis, including by seriously considering the growing call for a foreclosure moratorium and other forms of relief, and establishing a housing finance system that fulfills human rights obligations.

This is why "Occupy Our Homes" is the most effective means of protesting the bankster/PTB.

If home value is zero or negative equity (under water), then first WALK AWAY (strategic default) (http://gold-silver.us/forum/showthread.php?27547-CBS-60-Minutes-Mortgages-Walking-Away/), then occupy.

The Evolution of Revolution: Occupy Your Home (http://www.activistpost.com/2011/12/evolution-of-revolution-occupy-your.html)

^ eta, I theorize in the Walk Away... link above, that this is what TPTB actually want, and have been subtly encouraging through their ZSM (ZioStream Media). I don't know if this is true, but it's a plausible theory, which if true, would undermine my first line that "Occupying (foreclosed) Homes" would really stick it to TPTB. Namely, if the endgame is ending the institution of private property- ref: Thread: Agenda 21 For Dummies (incl: abolition of private property) (http://gold-silver.us/forum/showthread.php?35061-Agenda-21-For-Dummies-%28incl-abolition-of-private-property%29)

... then such a "mass protest" could be useful in TPTBs eventual selling the public that private property ownership (not fiat/fractional-reserve/for-profit/usurious central banking) is the core problem, and the state should therefore abolish that institution, for the good of mankind.

Whichever is the case, it's in the struggling home-borrower's short/medium term best interest to walk-away/foreclose, then occupy until forcibly removed, which if recent history is any guide, could take over a year.

They want your houses. They want you to evict YOURSELVES. They will then gather all housing/RE in the US (Fannie, Freddie) and call all of your LOANS. When the revaluation occurs there will be some loophole that any loans by Fannie or Freddie will be "readjusted" so that you infinite loss in paper value will not be a loss for them. They will call in your "loan". They will NDAA you fucking eviction, if necessary, so that you will be landless, propertyless, without a means of sustenance, and fighting for a rabbit in the woods. Then they will move in for the kill.

These fuckers are serious. Get your shit together and be ready. These guys are gonna finance you out, burn you out, kill you out, anything that is required to place you into controlled FEMA districts where you will be de-facto civilian detainees on the big work house. You have been free range chickens but that is no longer the strategy. The mathematics of the exponential function dictate the need for you to live on a starvation wage. IT IS COMING.

You will be assigned a house, once they have control of all property. You will be assigned a job. You will shut the fuck up and do your job. You will be handed out the necessities of life, as much as is enough that you hopefully don't starve. You will not get enough of anything. You will have to break the law to eat. You will have to break the law to get any normal everyday crap that you must have in sufficient quantity. You will be a terrorist.

But you already are.

Doesnt go down this way at all mouse.........................it goes down that they lose it. The humpty dumpty scenario where the plan fails. It falls breaks and cant be fixed by man..................its mortally wounded!
Biblically speaking its the second beast of Revelation that gets the mortal blow. Its only brought back to life by satan himself. And satan can only bring it back to life because he play acts as the return of the second coming of the Messiah.
The people dont beleive in this evil political beast now or at any time and only satan can pull this failed evil plan together (ressurecting the mortally wounded beast) to get the world to beleive in it as he play acts as the second coming of christ.
The world beleives in christ, but the world doesnt understand this christ is a fake or "antichrist" is actually satan, the old dragon, the serpent, the beast, the devil better known as lucifer the rebelious angel that fell from a very high ranking position from the time of "the foundation of earth" when the rebelion took place.

The only problem is that home prices are artificially inflated, and the main reason for that is government/fed subsidies to mortgage banks. As long as the foreclosed home is not sold on the market for its real value, the bank holding the mortgage has not realised a loss, and according to the new accountancy rules it doesn't have to mark it to its proper value, meanwhile the Federal Reserve trade gives the bank 100% of the nominal amount cash for the mortgage. There simply is no incentive for the bank to sell the property at a price below the nominal mortgage amount, in fact the opposite is true. They have every reason not to sell, likewise they are discouraged to allow houseowners to short sell the property... It is better for them to foreclose on the property, and let it stay empty...

The miracles of not letting those that fueled the housing bubble, take the logical consequences of its implosion...
