For christmas I received a few amazon kindle gift cards.
Anyone have any good newer book recommendations for the topics of survivalism (fiction or non), homesteading/DIY, history, gold/prospecting, conspiracy, or any other gs-us related topics?
thanks in advance

If you're into the JFK assassination, dont pass up on 'Last Word' by Mark Lane.
I am only about half way through, it's a great book.

I am so glad this is not a thread about Book and his "recommendations". :)
I am sure I will get shit for this one, but Atlas Shrugged is a damn fine piece of work and my favorite book. I read some good doom books last year: One Second After, Patriots, Molon Labe. Thought-provoking, but not GSUS type of books - I enjoy most Paulo Coelho's books, and Call of The Wild.
That's all I can think of right now.

My first would be Mein Kamph, but that doesn't fulfill what you're looking for.
Second and third-- The SAS handbook and Stocking up Stocking Up: The Third Edition of America's Classic Preserving Guide by Carol Hupping

AndreaGail, what are you into? I could recommend some quantum mechanics/physics books, but that's not what a lot of people are into. :) Do you like fiction? Do you like biographies . . . doom, prep . . . what?

Just finished "Rollback" by Tom Woods it was a good read. Reading suicide of a superpower by Pat Buchanan right now.

Hi k-os! At the moment, my interests include the history of money and commerce, history of colorado (especially the mining and mountain aspects), anything and everything DOOM (I have read 2 of your 3 recommendations, Patriots and Molon Labe, I really enjoyed them. Another one I really like is Alas, Babylon), anything privacy related (ie how to maintain a life free from being "seen" by the gov't), conspiracies relating to antiquity (books like The Message of the Sphinx)
I like the occasional biography or two but never been too interested in them.

I want to read that too, but I'm too cheap to buy it. I'll wait until I can get it from my library. How is it?

Don't expect that from a Kindle...
& of course don't forget The Creature from Jekyll Island if you haven't read it yet.

Secrets of the Federal Reserve is better. Griffin based his work on that. Mullins did all the heavy lifting.

I like it so far. A lot of statistics that don't bode well for my race of people. Seems the Caucasians are a disappearing at a alarming rate.

Anyone recommending the Gulag should warn the reader that it reads a bit like being kicked in the nuts and hit in the gut. It's a brutal, brutal book.
