View Full Version : "I can't live without you" now an excuse for a warrantless search

Was talking to this woman today who I knew a little bit about her circumstances. Cops raided her house (can't say why precisely, but it has to do with flowers) she shared with her husband. She had just filed a domestic abuse complaint against her husband, she came home and advised her husband she wanted a divorce, that she would not put up with him beating on her. He told her, "I can't live without you." - which she reported to the cops. Cops take this as a suicide threat and proceed to do a dynamic entry on her house (husband wasn't home), arresting her in the process. The cops told her, "We don't need a warrant when someone threatens suicide."
This is news to me, going to look into it further. Regardless, I call this mission creep.

Yeah, and in this case she wouldn't have been arrested if she had just kept her mouth shut. "Midnight, in the future avoid ALL contact with the police." is some of the best advice ever given to me (by a friend who was a cop at the time, 20 years ago).

And the hindering of revenue generation for the Communist STATE.
I truly cannot think of one single scenario where i would call the Kops for help WITH ANYTHING. Im being dead serious. NOTHING. There isnt a problem i cannot solve for myself, period.
In the land of the free and home of the brave, do i own my own body?

"which she reported to the cops"
Bet she doesn't make that mistake again.
