I try to read majority of AT.com articles everyday. As an international speculator of sorts, I like to keep an eye on impending social unrest instigated by geopolitical conflicts, which itself will present surprising investment opportunities..

While the Indonesian half of New Guinea island saw destabilizing strikes and attacks by insurgents in 2011, its independent eastern half, Papua New Guinea, descended into a protracted political stand-off. The instability comes as a competition between China and the United States is intensifying for gas and mineral resources set to transform PNG's underdeveloped economy.
