There was a time when men had chivalry. They actually had respect for their enemies, and would not let their own demons take over just to win a battle. Virtuous? Men would have duals in the streets. We can use the treatment of Bradley Manning as a guide for what to do with these marines. TPTB accuse manning of turning over classified information to Wikileaks. One of those thing was a video of soldiers in a helicopter gunning down unarmed journalists and the people who came to help them. Those soldiers were not hels accountable for murder--kinda like the way most police operate, but Manning, who made this event public is the only one accountable for his 'alleged' actions. This is a demonstration to me of moral bankruptcy. I expect the military to go after the person who made the video. The marines will go on top become local cops and will in the future pee on dead bodies of civilians who dared to exercise their civil rights.

They were asked to cut fingers off . . . and scoop eyeballs out. Just listening to him talk about it made me sick. It was as if he was talking about getting a cup of coffee, but all of the listener's faces were distorted in disgust. Very strange.

I don't watch the news, but if this peeing story is making news, it's just a distraction.

I'm with JD on this one, they were ordered to take the pics. If they were ordered to take the picks then what purpose did it have? It would have nothing to do with the anti-war climate here as it matters not what Americans think. Bush was elected on a platform of no nation building, then Obama on an "End the Iraq war now!" platform. The opposite was done each time even though people are clamoring.
