I posted a thread about this guy a couple days ago. What's the story with Tebow (http://gold-silver.us/forum/showthread.php?57932-What-s-the-story-with-Tebow&highlight=tebow)?

Is he for real? He seems to be from the little I have read about the guy. I hope it doesn't become idle (sic) worship

The guy plays football....

Maybe God will actually give Denver a QB that can THROW a football.

Fuck Tim Tebow.

There, someone had to say it.

While Rome burns....

How many souls has he led to the kingdom SOG?

I thought that was what it's about.

I really don't know anything about him so maybe I'm missing something.

Valor? LOL
as far as I'm concerned - he's just another circus performer.

You guys are totally missing the point, the story isn't about Tebow as it is about a citizenry desperately looking for role models in a society that has primarily worshiped degenerates. I think I'd go so far as to predict that the ascendancy of Tebow as a popular hero is a marker of a sea change in American culture. A combination of Obama, Michael Jackson and Charlie Sheen has finally sickened the middle mass of America.

I think that the ascendancy of what he represents is extraordinarily important. And that, frankly, is good for all of us.

Go Tebow!!!!

Go Tebow!!!!

I haven't missed any point.

I don't believe in idolizing people that throw balls for a living. I also don't care if he praises god every moment or not.

Anyway, he's making his FRN's.

May God bestow upon him the power to beat the spread.

Names ending in "ow" are often Russian Jews. It's possible that Tebow is actually a Russian, though.

the jews are enraged about tebow.....the ny times had to retract a story recently where a rabbi was FURIOUS that white Americans would start believing in Christ if tebow kept winning...this HAS to stop! one of the main planks of the protocols was the REMOVAL of christianity from the goy. if they hate him, i like him.

Missed it again. My point wasn't about idolizing Tebow but about analyzing the mental state of the people who are idolizing Tebow.

BTW: and I mean this in the worst possible way, only this site could turn a Tebow thread into an anti-jew diatribe. Do you guys have anything else on your (alleged) minds?

I re-read your original post TomD, and I still don't believe I missed the point.

I will however respond to your points.

It's not a turning point. The Zionews has been pumping this guy up for the past 8-10 weeks or so. (I don't remember the exact week he got the starting nod). Even when the "sports reporters" were dumping on Tebow early, they still kept his name in the current news. His praising god is just another great talking point. It's mentioned in almost every spot Tebow is talked about.

People idolized John Elway (sticking with Denver here). And what happened with that Douche?

He ended up making DHS videos.

In the end he is still making his bucks, while the NFL sells more Jerseys.

You are correct and when you have the world's attention you also have more WEIGHT behind your testimony and the ear of your listeners and Tim Tebow understands this.
Being a ROLE MODEL is important and if kids don't have good role models like Tim.. who are they going to look to Unladylike gaggag??

I guess parents shouldn't be considered.

I guess parents shouldn't be considered.

A big Amen to this, parents should be first but that's a given. Many youths today do not have one or both parents. So, the reality is... they need a role model.

So did god not like Tebow enough?

The most important thing to remember is that God is interested in men, not football games and the development of a man's character is first and foremost.
Anyone expecting this man (or any) to win every game is looking for a man to worship and not the God OF the man. I saw the last part of this game and after the reporters started gathering and the helmets were off, I noticed that Tebow had a smile on his face and he looked happy and yet Brady did not. Strange thing.

Proverbs 15:33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.

once again the pathetically transparent thing called the nfl goes on....what do brady , manning have in common? LIGHT years to spend in the pocket while their lineman hold so long its embarrassing! NO pass interference calls in favor of the smaller mkt teams....yes, i told the people at work the league will see to it that its ne vs ny at any cost. major mkt = more $. As if you didnt know it only takes 2 calls either a penalty NOT called or called in favor to win or lose a game. if manning or bradys line were not allowed to hold so blatently, these "star" quarterbacks would not BE stars.NFL= national fixed league.
