Just woke up from a dream. Really got me thinking.

So I'm riding a subway car with friends. They were friends in the dream but have no idea who they were. We're all sitting around laughing and reading different books...I don't remember any titles. While we're riding strange things start happening to the walls and the area surrounding the train. Sections start to push forward while others push away. Then I notice a different totally separate train has come off the track and it's rolling parallel with us. Before we can really say or do much, this other train crashes into us.

I still haven't woken but it's like someone hit a reset switch on the dream and it starts over...almost like it's on a loop. As soon as it starts again, I immediately know what is going to happen. Everybody is laughing just like before but I'm trying to figure out what to do.

For some reason I know the guy driving the train. His name is Harry and he looks just like Ted Danson. I tell him what's about to happen and manage to help him avoid the accident. We end up crashing through a wall and land in a water filled parking lot. Everybody is cheering and happy.

Next the dream has me sitting in a taxi in traffic in a big city. It's a nice spring day and I've got the window down. A well dressed man walking by says "It's not about getting everything right the first time. It's about trying to be a better person." In a flash I wake up suddenly.

It really hit me hard for some reason...hard enough to write it all down here 10 minutes after I woke up. I liked the message at the end but it made me sad at the same time...I really don't know why.

All you can do is all you can do and all you can do is enough. Title to a book I once read. I thought it was a good statement. Can't remember the book much. There are so many people going in so many directions you can't count 100% on an outcome for you plans. All you can do is all you can do and all you can do is enough..... as long as you do it I guess.

It was an odd dream for me. I think it speaks more to me stepping out of my comfort zone to learn more.

I think it means I'm not pushing myself enough. I think I've gotten complacent and need to challenge myself more professionally. I've already started. I've sign up for some training courses and hope to sign up for at least one more. My job has gotten pretty routine over the past couple of years and I'm looking to expand my knowledge.

Maybe the dream is telling you that there's more than one way (easier/harder as well as means/routes) to get to where you're going?

Interesting observation.

Thanks!
