Your account has been blocked

Why are you seeing this?
Someone may have used your account to send out a lot of junk messages (or something else that violates the Windows Live Terms of Service).

We're here to help you get your account back.

What do you need to do?

We'll ask you to provide us with a mobile phone number where we can send you a verification code and we'll add this phone number to your Windows Live profile for future use. After you enter the code, you can change your password and sign in.

We've cleaned your account settings

Often customers get here because someone else has access to your account and are using it without your knowledge to send spam. To protect you and your contacts, we've removed any Hotmail auto-replies or linked accounts you may have had.

If this account means anything to you, go get a throw away phone. Give 'em that number and get your verification code.

For sometime now joo-tube (joogle) has been trying to harvest your mobile number to tie to your account, probably only a matter of time before they demand it.....

Gmail has constantly and sneakily and aggressively been doing this for a month now.

They have not deleted your email. They may have put your **Settings** back to default.

Go sign up with google voice, which will give you a free, temporary phone number capable of accepting SMS messages. This will allow you to receive your code, and get back into your email. You can then throw the google voice number away. Make sure you unassociate your email account with the phone number once you get in, otherwise in the future they will lock you out again using the same phone number.

Just so you know, this could be caused by some idiot trying repeatedly to log into your account with the wrong password. Hotmail may have gone about this in the most annoying way possible (requesting phone number) but they really are trying to help.

.....after the mobile phone number, the next thing you know, they'll be looking through your windows at night....::)

Something similar to this happened to me with my gmail account a couple of years ago. I don't have a cell phone and would not give them the number if I did. I contacted gmail several times by email. They responded a couple of times that they were investigating the problem.

I thought I had lost that account but about 4 weeks later I was notified that the account had been reinstated. When I signed in, the last message I had received before it was closed was some strange spam message that didn't go to my spam folder.

I don't remember exactly what it was but it stood out as being weird. I deleted it and changed my password and have used the account with no problems ever since.

Nothing in the account had been changed or deleted by google.

I still get asked for my mobile number occasionally when I log in but there is a box that I click to skip that option. Not a big deal to me.

I first noticed this effort at least four months ago.

We should get some global investment bankers to give as loan so we can startup a major competitor to them.

Had the exact same thing happen to me with hotmail. My account had been hacked somehow and had sent a virus email out to everyone in my contact list at 3 in the morning while I slept. People apparently reported to hotmail about my hacked email and they shut me down the same way. Didn't lose any emails or important saved info.

Did you have to give a mobile number? To me that doesn't sit right. I would not have thought Hotmail would ask for phone numbers. Almost list a phishing exercise.

Still lunar satellites, flying way lower with no atmosphere creating disturbance, can't provide a clear image of the Apollo landing sites on the moon...

I have no doubt whatsoever that they have technology that can see very small details on earth
