"Outdated Current Topics"
Is an oxymoron.

Oxymoron, indeed, albeit somewhat humorous. However, I'm sorry the Fukushima thread was awarded that status, as the regular posters have beautifully kept the thread timely and relevant. My hope is to have it restored in status. Kudos the the regulars at the Japanese Reactor thread!!

I could restore it, but even where it is, I have kept the thread open. It is one of teh best threads on the site, it is just not the big current issue right now. Maybe I could move it to another part of the site as an alternative (Science, Technology, and Medicine?).

I vote someplace 'public', and not a member-only area.

I was kinda shocked to see it moved so fast, I don't scurry this forum looking for topics not in the 'main' general subject section.

Seems like a nice compromise, even tho' the incredulity of said pre-mature burial still reels.
The hits on that thread if nothing else are the better indicator of relevance and current event-ness than any metric John Q has going on here.
John Q sez: "Not the current issue going on here." Wonder upon what planet is John Q walking, now breathing and most assuredly GLOWING.

I'm listening. It sounds current here- that's good enough for me!
