I can understand a small difference in price but 400 bucks? and for the NON-colorized one on top of that.

I don't think it's that the non-colored one is worth $400 bucks more, it's that the colored one is worth $400 bucks LESS than a non-adulterated one.

Yeah, I don't like the colorized ones. I guess a lot of other people share that sentiment.

What if you soaked the coin in denatured alcohol for a few hours? I wonder if the coloring would just come right off, and you'd have a non-colored one and save $400.

My dealer sells "problem eagles" at a discount. They include deep scratches, bad dings, and the ones that people painted.

Also notice that there is only ONE in stock of the non-colorized one...maybe simple supply and demand?
Low supply so the price is higher?
