I haven't watched it yet. I will probably download it.
Unfortunately Rick Steves disqualifies himself with his stance on cannabis.

I hadn't seen the lecture, but I did see the show he did on Iran. I really like his shows. It's one of the few things I watch on TV anymore.
I've found that there are nice people everywhere if you go into it with a good attitude.

That gives him extra credibility with me.

I am really tired of all the MSM bull shite about Iran. Most Americans believe the boob tube no matter what lies they sell. I personally know 2 Iranian families. These people are without a doubt the most kind gentile people I have ever know. I knew this guy from work and helped him with some web design for his wife's business. He introduced me to his neighbor (also Iranian) and both families treated me like royalty. food , drink and always asking if I needed anything.
I tell you these people are not monsters as they are portrayed in the zio media. I have never met any other people so kind and thankful for simple acts of kindness. I hope that more people would do their own investigation into who are our enemies in this world. Not listen to the zio media and go mindlessly into a war that I believe will end up destroying western civilization as we know it.
But of course thats the plan after all isnt it?!!!

I found the billboards and paintings very interesting. Did anyone catch the one near the 32 minute mark? It had an arm with a closed fist around the world, and USA and Israel on it. Seems the Iranian people are quite awake.
I've always liked Rick Steves. He's just a friendly guy who wants to travel, show the world and it's culture, and people, and just live in peace. This was an excellent lecture. I personally learned a lot and it has opened my eyes. It shows that Iran is full of good people that really just want to be left alone. They don't want western influence, we should respect that.

Agreed solid.
And I did catch that image, quite telling.
Also the 'raining' USA flag w/ an Israel logo as one of the stars, and the red stripes raining bombs.''
Rick Steves is quite the speaker; not a single umm or ahh in the entire speech. Nor teleprompter!

I really admire Rick Steves, he's a great speaker. He just has this great view and respect for culture. I read his books before traveling abroad, and being humble and respectful in the country you visit, respecting their values, and such, just makes a trip memorable. I remember one time, shortly after 9/11, I was going to France. All my coworkers had American flags flying on the cubicles, and such. One idiot actually told me I was 'un-american' for wanting to go to France. I showed him a picture of the French gal I was to visit, and he shut up quickly :) Anyway, they all believed the media about French people hating Americans, rudeness, etc. Thought I was crazy to go there.
I'll tell you, the kindness the French showed me during visiting their country was fantastic. Not one rude Frenchmen did I meet, and people opened their doors to us, and invited us in their homes. The media brainwashing goes very deep.
