Wow!
It used to be that checks were frowned upon and cash was king.

Since the guy has a mortgage, he had to agree to the terms and conditions of that mortgage, and if one of the terms was that payment was required electronically, he has no case.
Although, it certainly is strange that they can't take the cash, I've never heard of a bank refusing cash.

This really needs a follow up story! i.e. did he have to turn the cash into a cashier's check? Write a check? Put it on a card?
Perhaps they do this so disgruntled homeowners/loanees won't pay in coins!?
IDK, but I sure hope he's not sitting in a jail cell over this!

Federal Reserve Notes are LEGAL TENDER. It says so prominently on the damn bills. This means that the debt holder is REQUIRED by force of law to accept FRNs to extinquish a debt, public or private. BAC has broken federal law by refusing to accept FRNs. The problem in this country is that the law applies to us but not them. And the damn government is very selective when enforcing the law. In short, we are living in a tyranny run by banksters and the rule of law is dead.

This is the crux of the issue:
Back in March we had about 30' off the top of a pine tree come crashing through our roof just 8' from our bed at around 3AM. Bank of America has refused to countersign the insurance check Farmers sent us several months ago for the damage. BofA has said we should send the check to them with contact information and an estimate from a local contractor to fix the roof we built...that isn't going to happen. We built this house sure as hell don't need anyone else to fix it!

It doesn't pay to play. But you have to pay to play.

I watched all 4 videos. Here's my take and I'm by no means defending BOA.
1. I'll bet he has some kind of payment statement/coupon book.
2. I'll bet that that local BOA branch is not the address that is listed on the payment due statement/coupon book.
3. I'll bet that, that BOA branch has no knowledge of his mortgage loan with BOA.
4. I'll bet that if he drove his ass to the address listed on his mortage payment statement/coupon book, BoA would take his FRN's, and give him a receipt, if he could even get in the door as it's not likely a branch BANK that the payment goes to.
5. I'll bet that, that the fat ass cheeseburger eatin' phuckin' cop, had a 2x cheeseburgers for lunch. ;D
Just sayin'...............

He should have gotten it in writing and continued to escalate the issue up the management chain.

FYI ... when you offer to pay and it is refused then the deal is off. Should have had two witnesses to his offer, get them to write affidavits of what they saw, send a nice letter giving notice that payment was tendered and refused, and record everything.
If it comes to a battle in court to see whose tallywanger is longest the more paper you have the better your chances.
It has to be this way because you do not have the means to actually pay for anything. The government assumed this role when they became communist and took away gold and silver.
