What this b.s. shows is that every race on the planet other than white folks can work in their interest.

Here's the bitching and moaning.

Hoekstra defends racially-charged Super Bowl ad

By Brian Montopoli (http://www.cbsnews.com/8300-503544_162-503544.html?contributor=10361558)
.

Michigan Senate candidate Pete Hoekstra on Monday defended his controversial Super Bowl political attack ad that critics have called racially insensitive, saying it does not reflect criticism of China.

The ad, which opens with the sound of a gong and other traditional Asian tones, features a young Asian actress riding a bike in what appears to be a rice field. With what appears to be a straw hat resting against her back, she addresses the camera and thanks Democratic incumbent Michigan Sen. Debbie Stabenow - who is called "Debbie Spend-it-now" - in broken English. (Watch at left.)

"Debbie spend so much American money," the woman says. "You borrow more and more, from us, Your economy get very weak. Ours get very good." The ad implies that she is Chinese but never mentions China or any other nation by name.
"We take your jobs," the woman continues, with a smile and a shrug. "Thank you Debbie Spend-it-now."

The Michigan chapter of the group Asian & Pacific Islander American Vote called the spot (http://www.apiavotemi.org/)"very disturbing" and said in a statement that Hoekstra's campaign "chose to use harmful negative stereotypes that intrinsically encourage anti-Asian sentiment."

A group of African-American ministers in Detroit called on Hoekstra to apologize for the ad, which appeared during the Super Bowl in Michigan, with Rev. Charles Williams II comparing it to "having a black person speaking in slave dialect," as the Huffington Post reported (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/06/pete-hoekstra-ad-china-michigan_n_1256912.html).

I remember a time in Canada when the political aspirants would run commercials that touted how good they are, how positive their platform is, how they planned to make positive changes, etc. Even though it was all lies, they never smeared each other.

Nowadays everytime there is an election, Canadian politicians just run smear campaign commercials, trying to make the opposing players look bad, and they play off of the "This guy is really bad, so vote for use" ruse, instead of taking a stand and promoting a positive platform.

Sad really.

Sorry D sciple, you have the wrong attitude.

Dark skin = dark soul.

Are you so cowardly that you cannot judge a man by his actions and his character? Must you use logical fallacies and logical leaps? It almost sounds like you don't believe in free will!
