CPAC Straw Poll Changes Hurt Ron Paul's Hat-Trick Chances

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/09/cpac-ron-paul-_n_1264500.html

WASHINGTON -- The organizers of a major conservative conference here over the next three days are trying to widen participation in a straw poll, a not-too-subtle attempt to give a Republican presidential candidate other than Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) a chance to win.

For the past two years, Paul has won (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/02/12/cpac-straw-poll-2011-ron-paul_n_822412.html#s237999&title=Rep_Michele_Bachmann), by large margins, a straw poll of attendees at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference. The results have been something of an embarrassment for CPAC, organized by the American Conservative Union, which comes from a more traditional conservative point of view than Paul's libertarian-tinged version.

This year, the American Conservative Union and CPAC are moving from paper ballots to electronic voting that will be accessible from a computer or a handheld device, said Al Cardenas, the conservative union's current president. He told The Huffington Post that he hopes this will increase the number of attendees who participate in the straw poll.

THE PINKOS at huffingtonpost are outing the " epublicans " ,
they can't resist, taking shots at Ron Paul too, " CPAC is embarrassed ",
they seem to know what evoting means too.

CPAC to Avoid Another Ron Paul Straw Poll Win. How? They are going electronic, no Paper Voting. This way they can "Assure" Ron Paul Won't win.... It's Called Fraud!

http://sherriequestioningall.blogspot.com/2012/02/cpac-to-avoid-another-ron-paul-straw.html

What those at the top won't do to make sure the person who people really want as President doesn't win.

Remember last year the CPAC straw poll WIN for Ron Paul? Remember how FOX News literally lied and committed and got caught creating FAUX News? In case you don't here is FOX News lying about the reaction to Ron Paul's CPAC straw poll win....At the end of this video of their lies, is there lame apology. Notice though they never run the real video of all the cheers that last over one minute on the network!

It has now been announced CPAC is going completely electronic for this years vote. Considering we know all electronic voting is rigged and fraud. They don't want the embarrassment of Ron Paul winning again.

Oh, I bet FOX News won't play the straw poll results if there are boos to their man Romney winning by fraud and simply due to CPAC rigging the voting for him to win.

SHAME ON YOU, FOX NEWS. Showing the 2010 footage instead of the 2011 footage to give the impression that lots of people were booing Ron Paul. Yet another #HONESTMISTAKE from the corporate media.

See the Youtube video, "Ron Paul vs. the #HONESTMISTAKE". It doesn't get more blatant than this.Scott FreeFeb 9, 2012 12:14 PM (http://sherriequestioningall.blogspot.com/2012/02/cpac-to-avoid-another-ron-paul-straw.html?showComment=1328818475949#c124378532916 8429099)

I think we're going to see many (illegal) rule changes occur as the delegate process moves forward.

Yes, make up new rules as you go. The establishment stated from the beginning that RP was unelectable. They will bend the rules, lie, cheat and commit crimes and murders to make sure he doesn't become the next president...

Just wait till the convention and see what tricks this trash pulls then.
I think they really want to crown King Jeb I as their nominee and that's why they need to do this and also get rid of any possible dissent from a show like FreedomWatch.

Romney Wins CPAC Presidential Straw Poll

http://www.nationaljournal.com/2012-presidential-campaign/romney-wins-cpac-presidential-straw-poll-20120211

Mitt Romney, aiming to recover from three primary and caucus losses this week, bounced back Saturday with a victory in the annual straw poll sponsored by the Conservative Political Action Committee. The former Massachusetts governor won 38 percent of the 3,408 votes cast at the CPAC conference in Washington.

Rick Santorum, who is surging after winning contests in Missouri, Minnesota and Colorado, finished second with 31 percent. Newt Gingrich was a distant third at 15 percent.

Ron Paul, who won the straw poll in 2010 and 2011, finished fourth with 12 percent. He campaigned in Maine this year rather than speak at the gathering.

Romney's win was surprising given the trouble he has had ginning up enthusiasm from the Republican Party's conservative base. It wasn't always this way. He won the CPAC straw poll in 2007, 2008 and 2009, when the party was less conservative and his chief competitor -- Arizona Sen. John McCain -- was the one viewed with suspicion by a base that considered him too moderate.

Mike Murphy, a GOP strategist who once worked for McCain, tweeted after Romney's win: "Impressive; that's a tough room for Mitt."

Romney's previous high-water mark at CPAC was in 2008, when he won with 35 percent a day after dropping out of the nomination race that McCain ultimately won.

"Honored to have won the CPAC straw poll. I’m heartened that so many friends here agree with me about the need for conservative change," Romney tweeted. He was in Maine awaiting the Saturday night results of a presidential preference poll taken during a week of caucuses.

Mitt Romney completed a double-barreled comeback Saturday night with a victory in Maine. He won 39 percent of the votes cast in preference polls at caucuses throughout the state. Texas Rep. Ron Paul came in second with 36 percent.

Earlier Saturday, Romney pulled off a surprise win at the Conservative Political Action Committee conference in Washington. The former Massachusetts governor topped the CPAC field with 38 percent of the vote at the gathering of conservative activists.
