LAKE JACKSON, Texas – Tonight the campaign of 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul sent an email to supporters regarding today’s caucus results from the state of Maine. See below for a portion of comments from Ron Paul 2012 Campaign Manager John Tate.
“Ron Paul will win the most delegates out of Maine tonight.
“In fact, he will probably even win the ‘beauty contest’ straw poll the media has already called for Mitt Romney – even before all the votes have been tallied.
“In Washington County – where Ron Paul was incredibly strong – the caucus was delayed until next week just so the votes wouldn’t be reported by the national media today.
“Of course, their excuse for the delay was ‘snow.’
“That’s right. A prediction of 3-4 inches – that turned into nothing more than a dusting - was enough for a local GOP official to postpone the caucuses just so the results wouldn’t be reported tonight.
“This is MAINE we’re talking about. The GIRL SCOUTS had an event today in Washington County that wasn’t cancelled!
“And just the votes of Washington County would have been enough to put us over the top.
“This is an outrage. But our campaign is in this race to win, and will stay in it to the very end.
“Congressman Paul’s message of liberty and Constitutional principles is resonating with Americans everywhere who are sick and tired of the status quo establishment, and we plan to take this campaign on to ‘Super Tuesday’ and beyond.”

Th sad part is, if Ron some how comes out on top, it will lose any effect it initially would have had from day one.
We will already be on to the next one.
It sure seems to me the money people set this up from the get go.
The list of caucuses you posted yet to convene were probably all Ron Paul favorable.

I believe the ones I just posted were already scheduled to be after yesterdays. The glaring county caucus of Washington county is the biggest, it's the one that got cancelled and the one that everyone is raising hell about. The state GOP says they can hold the caucus but the votes won't count. Like wise for the caucuses I just posted.

Not quite....there's pressure mounting to have these votes counted and the total amended. I guess the best news, is that Maines straw/caucus votes are non binding and just a beauty pagent and the RP attained the bulk of delegates yesterday :)

It really does not matter much if it counts or not, the important thing is the delegate count.

Rep. Ron Paul not conceding Maine vote
By Josh Lederman - 02/12/12 12:46 PM ET
Rep. Ron Paul is not conceding the GOP’s Maine caucuses, which state party officials and major networks called Saturday for rival Mitt Romney.
With 84 percent of precincts reporting, Romney has 39 percent to Paul's 36 percent, and Maine GOP Chairman Charlie Webster declared Romney the winner Saturday night, following a week-long series of caucuses.
But in Washington County, where Paul had expected to perform well, the caucus was postponed until Feb. 18 due to an expected snowstorm. Washington County Republican Chairman Chris Gardner told the AP he had no idea when the caucuses were postponed that his county would no longer count toward the grand total.“This is an outrage," John Tate, Paul's campaign manager, said in an email to supporters. "But our campaign is in this race to win, and will stay in it to the very end."
Paul's campaign has accused the local GOP of postponing the caucuses to prevent the results from being reported on Saturday, arguing that "just the votes of Washington County would have been enough to put us over the top."
The campaign is also dismissing the notion that weather was a reasonable excuse for the caucuses to be put off.
“This is Maine we’re talking about," Tate said. "The Girl Scouts had an event today in Washington County that wasn’t cancelled!"
Paul's aides have maintained that the Texas congressman will wind up with the most delegates from Maine, despite Romney's apparent victory Saturday night. Maine's caucuses are non-binding, and delegates are selected at a state convention in May.
“We are confident that we will control the Maine delegation for the convention in August," said Paul spokesman Jesse Benton.

So this person says it's not about Ron Paul. It's not about any candidate. Wrong! It's about RP and only occured because they are against RP. So minimalise the ciminality all you want.
Then she said, the REASON it will be reversed is because the PEOPLE CHANGED THEIR MINDS. huh? You can change your vote after it's cast?
Also, none of this matters because it's IOWA but I am going to dedicate 12 minutes to tell you how unimportant it is.
So full of it. No suprise there. You just have to take one look at this person and you can see where they are coming from.
I really hate the word narrative. That tells you it's a tale, a story and has no relativity to fact.

I wouldn't have caught the narrative thing if you haven't pointed it out. The word was said a couple of times. Although their was a definite RP negative slant, I think the ploy was to discredit the Elephant party.
I just hope the sheep watching this think what Donkeys might be doing with their "votes". It might be a bit of spark to question the entire voting process as it stands.
