So, lets put sterilants in the water.

Since the national attention is on birth control, here's my idea: If we want to fight poverty, reduce violent crime and bring down our embarrassing drop-out rate, we should swap contraceptives for fluoride in Michigan's drinking water.

We've got a baby problem in Michigan. Too many babies are born to immature parents who don't have the skills to raise them, too many are delivered by poor women who can't afford them, and too many are fathered by sorry layabouts who spread their seed like dandelions and then wander away from the consequences.

Michigan's social problems and the huge costs attached to them won't recede until we embrace reproductive responsibility.

Eugenics had a positive goal at least.

American Socialism analogy: feed and house male and female rats. Allow them to mate and breed to produce far more young than they could support, let alone themselves, in a natural environment. Rat overpopulation quickly results, exhausting food supplies and housing capacity. Cages run down, covered in crap and piss. Male rats fighting and killing eachother. Female rats lay around, eat and get obese, while young run wild, pissing, crapping and copulating. Solution proposed: rat contraception, more food, more housing.

Perhaps we should not have housed and fed the rats in the first place.

It's like a Skinner Box where they forgot to put a limit on the food and neglected to administer the electric shocks.

I cannot agree here doc. Once you start, it's a slippery slope to hell with this line of thought.

What makes the man who implements these programs any better than the men that are being affected?

Additionally, this artificial environment nurtures and keeps alive those which would be otherwise unable to survive under normal, natural conditions (as in "survival of the fittest").
