Went to a coin show this past weekend, the first of the year for me. In the metro Detroit area and it was PACKED. The doors opened at 10 and I got there around 10:30.
No shortage of bullion, that's for sure. Seems like every table had a nice amount of generic bullion. Highest price I saw for an oz of Ag was $37. I scored some 1985 Engelhard rounds for $34. I found a guy that had a box of junk silver for 24x face so I loaded up my pockets with mercs 8)
1/10 oz gold eagles were $195 all day long.
I tried chit chatting with a few dealers about the POS/POG and what it's gonna take to get them back to the $1900/$50 range and what's in store for the metal manipulators and they seemed indifferent about it. I figure they were more into the numismatics of it all and not the politics.
