Not included are the MIC corps getting govt. 'handouts'. This country as it stands is DOOMED. (like you didn't already know that)

We are well past the tipping point. Notice the alarming rate of increase in percent of population not paying income taxes. Record numbers of the Americans are denouncing US citizenship and leaving. These are the folk with serious money and business owners - you know, the ones that really create jobs. Well, they're closing up shop and leaving. The actual federal deficit is actually about $5 trillions using customary accounting principles. So tax receipts of about $1.5 trillions are a small and shrinking fraction of government spending. The FED is monetizing over 80% of new debt issuance as we speak. So folks, we are well past the tipping point and sliding down hill fast. The only reason inflation hasn't exploded is that credit has been pulled from the markets and high unemployment and high levels of indebtedness have made Americans cash poor. The proof of this is the record rate of demand destruction in the energy sector: gas consumption is down and dropping fast becuase people can't afford it and businesses are slowing or closing and don't need it.

We are royally fooked! Got gold? Got silver? Got emergency cash? Got freeze-dried foods? Got bottled water? Got guns? Got a hot babe (or dude) to stay warm in the foxhole with?

Isn't there a quote or an old axiom that states, "when the majority of a population figures out that they can vote themselves largess from a countrys treasury the country will soon be led to ruin"...or something to that effect?

Which is why the founding fathers warned against Democratic governments.

The people may be broke, but the government is filthy rich. From that perspective, everyone is entitled to their fair share (which is ironically much more$ than government entitlements).

OUR assets are mostly just paper (meaning the people). Government assets- not so much. Consider- weapons, land, real estate, PMs, foodstuffs, water, oil and other energy, heavy industrial equipment, et al. Governments don't go broke- ever.

I read another article on that website that says that US handouts have eclipsed US disposable income.
