Hmmm, looks like Google street view and satelites are updated

I happened to be looking at something on another site and zoomed in on my address, well hells bells it's been recently updated and I'm talking within 4 months.

I really have to wonder WHY would they spend the money to update google street view unless they're being paid by another group to do it, or what their ulterior motives are.

Any thoughts?

Not here. Of course we are not really prime time at this location but one of the trees i cut down in the front yard 3 years ago is still there.

It draws users.

I think they expect google earth to be a platform for virtually indexing content to physical locations, which would draw more users, and allow them to make money on advertising.

Google made $2.7 billion in profit on revenues of $10.6 billion last quarter, so they can afford the gas money.

Web traffic.

Business uses the hell out of GE - I know I do. At work, I'm able to overlay designs and routes right into GE, save it and share with clients.
It has just become standard practice.

Not to mention private usage.

i know the exact date they did mine, october 24, 2011. it's the only day last year i had the camper set up in the driveway (i was winterizing it).
