Donations can be gratuitous. There is no need to claim anything. If you believe there is a spoon then you probably believe you have income as well.

This may be a stretch Palani, but does the quote: "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's; Render unto God that which is God's." have anything to do with this cryptic dialog? That paying taxes is voluntary? That appears to be what the IRS claims while threatening to bludgeon you if you don't pay them what they want. Aaron Russo got into that in his movie From Freedom to Fascism.

paying taxes is voluntary? Use of a federal reserve note is voluntary. After you decide to use them your lawform is now not common law but rather the law merchant. Paying the tax is not voluntary. Using the negotiable instrument that incurs the tax obligation is voluntary.

Think of it as committing a murder. You didn't have to commit the murder but once you did then a penalty is owed for the act.

Nobody lives in the white house. I merely claimed it as a residence (as do all U.S. citizens) and paid dearly for its upkeep.

I'm feeling more sane now so am willing myself to claim a more humble residence.

Sorry, not to de-rail, but the Waco community refused to use FRNs at all. They left the temple of the moneychangers.
(For that matter, they were collecting their own water, and generating their own electricity, etc. They refused to pay land tax or any sort of civil service tax, because they renounced the system and were self reliant.)

Do I need to make a voluntary donation on April 15th? If it is voluntary then nobody can tell you one way or the other. If someone says you MUST pay then you might refer them to the Statute of Fraud for your state (found now-a-days in the Uniform Commercial Code) and ask for a valid signature where you agreed to pay.

I also ask if they can comply with the 1971 Truth in Lending Act.
