The reason he HASNT been arrested yet is because oncethe cops arrived on scene, he invoked the "stand your ground" law as a defence, and as far as the police knew at the time, it WAS a self defense shooting. By law, in florida, they CAN NOT arrest someone if it appears to be legitimate self defense.

It wasnt until some time later during the investigation that it started to look like it was NOT self defense.

So, by florida law, the state attorney must put this forward to a grand jury, who will hear the evidence. Then the attorney's office will decide based on the grand jurys finding if charges should be brought. In this case, they likley will be. However, it might be some 6 months before this actualy makes it in front of a grand jury, and unless this gets steam rolled through the process or some new evidence comes up, the shooter cant, by law, be arrested.


But, like I said, this guy WILl eventualy be arrested and tried for murder. Once the neighbors in the area started coming forward in the kids defense, telling how the kid was screaming "help me help me" right before he was shot total took this out of plausible self defense and into murder/homicide.

The police grossly mishandled this whole situation and that will NOT boad well for the department. Now, because of this jackass and the jackass cops, the Stand Your Ground law/Affirmative Self Defense, which was pioneered in Florida and is now being copied all over the country, is coming under HEAVY fire by the media and anti-gun groups when the law itself had nothing to do with this. This will be a REALLY interesting case for how things play out for the future of affirmative self defense in this country.

Anger from Trayvon Martin’s shooting death in Florida goes viral with social media frenzy

“Unarmed 17-year-old boy shot by neighborhood watch captain in Sanford, FL outside of Orlando,” the tweet said. It provided a web link to a story.

Since then, hundreds of thousands of messages have spread the word about Trayvon Martin, a black teenager who was shot to death Feb. 26 by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman. Racial tensions have rapidly escalated as civil rights groups have held rallies, saying the shooting was unjustified.

Martin’s parents even started an online petition on Change.org demanding Zimmerman’s arrest. It had more than 1.2 million signatures.

If you've been following the story, you'd know that Zimmermans neighborhood had a lot of robberies and break-ins over the last year.

From the time it took for Zimmerman to notice Trayvon, and the time he was on the phone with the police before he started following Trayvon, we know that for several minutes Trayvon was walking around in the general area outside of Zimmermans home, looking around for seemingly no reason. But wait, wasn't Trayvon watching a sports game? Why wasn't he hurrying back? Why was he within viewing distance of Zimmermans home for more than several minutes if he was headed straight home to watch the game? These are valid questions. Trayvon seemed in no hurry to get back home.

Treyvon put on his hoodie when he realized he was being followed. Why did he do this? Hiding his face isn't going to make him invisible to the man following him. But you know what it will do? Make it harder for Zimmerman to recognize his face. Why didn't 'innocent' Trayvon not want his face seen? Why did he only start to leave when Zimmerman came outside? Why was he staring at Zimmerman through the window? Was it because he was up to no good?

Many people inaccurately say that it was Trayvon who was heard calling for help in the 911 calls. Yet even Trayvons father said that it wasn't his sons voice calling for help!

Keep in mind this was before it hit national news, before the media was able to corrupt and twist the story. If you notice, the father is suspiciously quiet, yet this time does not deny it was his sons voice, while his mother tries to play it off like it is her sons voice crying for help. Look into her eyes, it almost looks like she knew this day was coming, like she knew how Trayvon was, like her worst fear coming true. The father himself seemed almost uncaring, like he too expected Trayvon to end up down that road.

So here we have a huge inconsistency, and the father changing his story by omittance. Why? Is it to garner sympathy by making it seem like her 'innocent' son was the one crying for help? Which brings me to my next piece of news...

In this news report, there is eyewitness testimony. The testimony is from the man who lived at the residence this all happened in front of. As you can clearly see, the eyewitness states that Zimmerman was the one being attacked, that Zimmerman was on the ground crying for help while Trayvon was on top of him, and that Trayvon was on top of Zimmerman when Zimmerman reached for his gun and shot Trayvon.

Many people claim Trayvon couldn't have been on top of Zimmerman since Zimmerman weighed over 250lbs and Trayvon weighed only 140lbs. But what they forget to mention is that Zimmerman is barely 5ft tall, while Trayvon is around 6 foot 3 inches tall. Now stop and think for a second, what would a 6'3 140lb person look like? They'd look like a sickly cancer patient. At that height, there is no way Trayvon weighs only 140lbs, especially being a healthy adult and a high school football player. This lends credibility to the fact that they're trying to make Trayvon seem like less of a threat than he actually was. People easily dismiss eyewitness testimony to keep painting Trayvon as the innocent.

Look at the eyes of that photo of Trayvon Martin at the top of the page. Are those eyes of a happy, kind teenager? No. Those are the eyes of someone who thinks he's a hard ass. Those are cold calculated eyes that say "I want to prey on you".

Now most of the pictures of Trayvon plastered on the news were from when he was 13 years old. These pictures are out there to be purposefully misleading, to make him look like a younger, small innocent child, to make it look like Zimmerman killed an innocent 13 year old boy rather than the 17 year old adult thug wannabe Trayvon was. As of now, you can not find a single picture of Trayvon at 17 years old.

Here's how it all most likely went down, based on the facts and eyewitness accounts:

Treyvon was looking for stuff outside of peoples apartments to steal, or casing a place to later break into, or just acting suspicious without doing anything wrong. This doesn't really matter as to the legality of the case. When confronted by Zimmerman, there was an argument about why Trayvon was there and what was he doing. Trayvon proceeded to get rowdy and in Zimmermans face (actin' hard), Zimmerman pushed Trayvon off of him, Trayvon came back swinging and knocked Zimmerman on the ground (which is why Zimmerman was bleeding from the back of his head). Trayvon proceeded to continue wailing on Zimmerman. Zimmerman screams for help repeatedly. With no help in sight, Zimmerman manages to reach for his gun with Trayvon on top of him and shot Trayvon from the front, in the chest. Trayvon becomes fatally wounded and falls over into the grass as Zimmerman pushes Trayvon's now lifeless corpse off of him and proceeds to get back up.

Now which is more believable? This or Zimmerman attacking and shooting him for walking around doing nothing while showing no aggression? I think the answer is obvious.

Trayvon was shot in the chest, from the front. He was not walking or running away when he was shot, he was facing Zimmerman and on top of him.

The "Stand your ground" law says that you are allowed to defend yourself with a gun if you're attacked in a place you're allowed to be, such as in public. Many people try to say that since Zimmerman was following Trayvon, that the law does not apply. However, the "Stand your ground" law applies to this as well, such as cases where you're observing someone who may be committing a felony or crime. The fact that Zimmerman followed him does not nullify the law, Zimmerman was legally allowed to be where he was.

All the way back on February 27th, the local Orlando Fox station interviewed the witness who dialed 911 (http://www.myfoxorlando.com/dpp/news/seminole_news/022712-man-shot-and-killed-in-neighborhood-altercation#ixzz1phFMGCu4). Almost none of the thousands of articles since have mentioned any of the details described by the witness. Some, however, have attributed false statements to this witness. Once again, these details have been ignored or changed by the media.

The witness reports that George Zimmerman was on the ground and Trayvon is on top of him punching him.
The witness says that George Zimmerman was screaming and yelling for help.
Police arrive and find Zimmerman bleeding on his face and the back of his head. He also has had grass stains on his back. All this confirms the story told by Zimmerman and the witness.
Police play the 911 tape for Trayvon Martin’s father, who tells police that the voice screaming is not the voice of his son.
The neighborhood this took place in has seen a lot of crime. Would you be surprised to learn that there were eight burglaries, nine thefts, and a shooting just in the past year? In fact, the local homeowners’ association reports that George Zimmerman actually caught one thief and aided in the apprehension of other criminals. The Miami Herald wrote about this on March 17th (http://www.miamiherald.com/2012/03/17/2700249_p2/shooter-of-trayvon-martin-a-habitual.html). None of the thousands of articles and cable news segments that came after thought this was important.

In fact the Miami Herald goes on to interview neighbor Ibrahim Rashada, who is black. Rashada ?confirms that there has been a lot of crime in the neighborhood and indicates to the reporter that the perpetrators are usually black.

The media also characterizes Trayvon as a “model student.” In fact, he was under a five day suspension when the shooting took place. That is why he was staying at a house so far from his school on a school night. A lawyer for Trayvon’s family has blocked access to his school records. However, you have to do something pretty bad to get suspended for five days.

Just who stood their ground?? Was it impossible for Trayvon to out run the 5-2 240 lb Zimmerman?? Yes there was stereotyping and the hoodie did not help. Even if he was insulted or felt blighted- it does not give Trayvon the right to pummel a neighborhood watchman.

SANFORD -- As thousands of people gathered here to demand an arrest in the Trayvon Martin case, a more complicated portrait began to emerge of a teenager whose problems at school ranged from getting spotted defacing lockers to getting caught with a marijuana baggie and women’s jewelry.

The Miami Gardens teen who has become a national symbol of racial injustice was suspended three times, and had a spotty school record that his family’s attorneys say is irrelevant to the facts that led up to his being gunned down on Feb. 26.

In October, a school police investigator said he saw Trayvon on the school surveillance camera in an unauthorized area “hiding and being suspicious.” Then he said he saw Trayvon mark up a door with “W.T.F” — an acronym for “what the f---.” The officer said he found Trayvon the next day and went through his book bag in search of the graffiti marker.

Instead the officer reported he found women’s jewelry and a screwdriver that he described as a “burglary tool,” according to a Miami-Dade Schools Police report obtained by The Miami Herald. Word of the incident came as the family’s lawyer acknowledged that the boy was suspended in February for getting caught with an empty bag with traces of marijuana, which he called “irrelevant” and an attempt to demonize a victim.

Trayvon’s backpack contained 12 pieces of jewelry, in addition to a watch and a large flathead screwdriver, according to the report, which described silver wedding bands and earrings with diamonds.

Trayvon was asked if the jewelry belonged to his family or a girlfriend.

“Martin replied it’s not mine. A friend gave it to me,” he responded, according to the report. Trayvon declined to name the friend.

Trayvon was not disciplined because of the discovery, but was instead suspended for graffiti, according to the report. School police impounded the jewelry and sent photos of the items to detectives at Miami-Dade police for further investigation.

A lawyer for the dead teen’s family acknowledged Trayvon had been suspended for graffiti, but said the family knew nothing about the jewelry and the screwdriver.

“It’s completely irrelevant to what happened Feb. 26,” said attorney Benjamin Crump. “They never heard this, and don’t believe it’s true. If it were true, why wouldn’t they call the parents? Why wasn’t he arrested?”

Trayvon, who was a junior at Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School, had never been arrested, police and the family have said.
“We think everybody is trying to demonize him,” Crump said.
No evidence ever surfaced that the jewelry was stolen.

“Martin was suspended, warned and dismissed for the graffiti,” according to the report prepared by schools police.

That suspension was followed four months later by another one in February, in which Trayvon was caught with an empty plastic bag with traces of marijuana in it. A schools police report obtained by The Miami Herald specifies two items: a bag with marijuana residue and a “marijuana pipe.”

The punishment was the third for the teen. On Monday, the family also said Trayvon had earlier been suspended for tardiness and truancy.

Trayvon was shot to death Feb. 26 while serving out his suspension in Sanford, where his father’s girlfriend lives. A neighborhood watch volunteer called the police to say he saw someone in a hoodie who looked high on drugs, and was suspicious because he walked too slowly in the rain. The unarmed teenager carried Skittles and iced tea, and was talking to his girlfriend on the phone, records show.

You know how I have been saying this is going to be a hot summer, in more ways than one? Well, besides the sun blasting us with nasty heat (that I think is coming), the other part of the 'hot' or 'cruel, cruel summer' that is headed our way is because the media is pushing for a race war/riots to start this year (Obama desires this).

Then they drop the hammer on the people, more liberties lost, more police actions at home. Bring in the military- this is their plan. This is why the Martin shooting is getting a boatload of national press time. "They" want blacks to riot against whites, badly. It will draw attention away from the financial collapse headed our way.

Notice on the left of the ABC news link there is a video on the subject: compare the pic they used of Zimmerman on the top of the page versus the pic within the video thumbnail. He is much more tan in the video link indicating that the top pic was photoshopped to make him more white.

There are multiple agendas at play here.

Chuck Sumer, Senator for NY (and a completely crooked war mongering Zionist cartel member), is pleading for Obama and Eric Holder to modify at the federal level Florida's stand-your-ground law. This is a states rights issue and this shooting is being used as a tool to take more power from the states and hand it over to the feds.

George Zimmerman's Lawyer Wants Jurors To See Photos Of Handgun, Pot Plants Found On Trayvon Martin's Cell Phone

In a bid to muddy up Trayvon Martin in advance of trial, a lawyer for George Zimmerman has released photos of a handgun and marijuana plants that were found on the late teenager’s cell phone.

In a court filing today, attorney Mark O’Mara listed documents and images he “intends to introduce into evidence” during the criminal case against Zimmerman, who has been charged with murdering Martin. The 17-year-old was shot to death in February 2012 by Zimmerman (who claims that he fired in self-defense while being attacked by the unarmed teenager).

Included in the photos that O’Mara says he wants jurors to see are two images extracted from Martin’s Huawei phone showing a Smith & Wesson handgun and clip. In one photo (seen above) the weapon appears to be held by the person who snapped the photo. The second photo shows the gun and clip atop what appears to be a soiled mattress.

Two other photos from Martin’s phone show potted marijuana plants.

O’Mara has also notified Florida prosecutors that he will try to introduce text messages from Martin’s phone. Those messages include exchanges dealing with Martin’s suspension from school for fighting and his mother’s decision that he needed to move in with his father (from whom she was divorced). “My mom just told me i gotta mov wit my dad,” read one November 2011 message that was followed up with a text noting, “She just kickd me out : (.”

Other texts on Martin’s phone appear to refer to his use of marijuana and the offer of a gun.

Days before Martin was killed, his father sent a text with advice about how his son should behave and show respect. “Show them that you a good kid and you want positive things around you. Be a big brother and not a DONKEY …… LOVE DAD.”
