Along the lines of your article MR, I was reading one earlier in the MSM: Zakaria: Incarceration nation (http://globalpublicsquare.blogs.cnn.com/2012/03/30/zakaria-incarceration-nation-2/)

snip

...The reason (Pat) Robertson is for legalizing marijuana is that it has created a prison problem in America that is well beyond what most Americans imagine.

"It's completely out of control," Mr. Robertson said. "Prisons are being overcrowded with juvenile offenders having to do with drugs. And the penalties - the maximums - some of them could get 10 years for possession of a joint of marijuana. It makes no sense at all."

He’s right. Here are the numbers: The total number of Americans under correctional supervision (prison, parole, etc.) is 7.1 million, more than the entire state of Massachusetts. Adam Gopnik writes in the New Yorker, "Over all, there are now more people under 'correctional supervision' in America...than were in the Gulag Archipelago under Stalin at its height."

No other country comes even close to our rates of incarceration. We have 760 prisoners per 100,000 people. Most European countries have one seventh that number (per capita, so it's adjusted for population). Even those on the high end of the global spectrum - Brazil and Poland - have only a quarter the number we do.

Back to your OP - I honestly think we are less than 10 years away from a future "Work to pay off your debt" camp, automatic enrollment or some other such nonsense!

there's a minimum security place near me. a lady who works with my wife has a son who is a guard there. he claims about 90% of the people in it are pot, second offence owi, or something stupid like they were on probation for stealing a candy bar and then missed a probation date, so the judge sentenced them to 30 days. it's huge. i can only imagine how much it costs to run and maintain, let alone the salaries + pensions for all of the people who there. all for stupid offences. it really is a racket.

I highly recommend this video if you want to know what the "chosen people" did to what they call goyim in the soviet gulags. This is all very well documented in contrast to the supposed Holocaust against the jews.

there does not appear to be any specific language requiring a taxpayer to be charged with tax evasion or any other crime in order to have their passport revoked or limited — only that a notice of lien or levy has been filed by the IRS.

Do you know how fast onerous fees can be tallied up to put you over the threshold ??

Not NEARLY as much as the money that is made by private run-for-PROFIT prisons.

I mean, its just business, right?

As much as people like to think that 'Justice' is being handed out by the courts, they are dead wrong. What is handed out in the court system is REVENGE, and they are 2 totally different things.

Not to mention that when a Judge hands down a fine, one has to wonder if the money is used for the good of the public, or if the Judge has a Yacht payment he has missed.....

Thanks for posting this. I watched all 4 parts, then downloaded it.

If people really knew history; as opposed to the plastic manufactured versions they are told; they might see what appears to be a similar styler system being slowly implemented all around them.
