Now...I have to wait 10 days to pick it up. Yes, Cali does suck in that regard.

I got the LE6920CA.

It's gonna be fun.

How is the maintence on that?

Can it be abused or must it be pampered?

Must be a small micro device installed that the ATF can stick the trigger remotely at will.

It's a Colt, a real AR, it's as tough as anything out there.

They do make Piston models, I see not for Cali though.

???

Yup... total pain in the ass. My buddy bought a Stag, and that bullet button pretty much makes the gun useless for its' designed purpose.

What the hell is a "Bullet Button"?

What the hell is a "Bullet Button"?

The Bullet Button is a product that allows the shooter to drop a magazine with the use of a tool. It prevents finger manipulation of the mag release, and creates a condition allowable under current individual interpretations of California law... http://www.riflegear.com/p-58-ar15-bullet-button.aspx

Like I said... it's a fukkin pain in the ass. If you think you are going to do battle with a rifle equipped with one of these, forget it.

I thought the Canadian gun laws were F-ed [as I look at my legally owned 8" barreled shotgun]

Is there an aftermarket "button" that can be swapped?

I was wrong, its a Micro device remotely activated to keep you from swappin clips.

I was going to thank you for your post, but then I saw that you are a total jew with the thanks feature and you have never thanked anyone for any post, so you're cut off.

LOL, I try to keep my thanks given even with my thanks recieved. One time I saw a bunch of good posts and went on a thanking spree. When I finally came to my senses, I had to wait a long time for my received thanks to catch up before I could thank anyone after that.

It's gonna be fun.

It's intended for fun, and I agree - the AR is a ton of fun. Pretty worthless for serious social work in an emergency though.

I thank whatever I think deserves it and I leave the rest to the other members to give me thanks as they see fit.
Weird how my numbers work fairly consistently though:
Almost always on average, my "Thanks given" count is double my "Thanks recieved" count, and the amount of posts I get thanked is half of that.

What I'm saying is like this:

20 thanks given
10 thanks received
5 posts thanked

Not perfectly, like right now I have 2777, 1478 and 804
It's weird how it stays in those ranges.

Same thing essentially. I am pretty sure the Dominion Arms are 870 clones. All the parts are interchangable.
The website you listed was blocked, so that's why I couldn't see it.

But I assume you have the full stock on it, as our laws dictate 26.5" overall length minimum.

I still don't know if it's a box mag or tube mag though, cuz the site is blocked.

I'm baffled by how unsafe that is,to need a tool to unload and clear a firearm. For safety reasons, you need to be able to unload a firearm quickly and easily. What if you don't have the tool handy? While you are looking around for the tool...you've got a loaded firearm sitting there.

Yah, but it's only nine rounds, so it doesn't take too long to shuck them out.

This used to be standard practice with bolt, pump and lever actions before the advent of the detachable box.

Oh, please. You want to get shot with one of these? Think it would kill you? Case closed.

There are advantages and disadvantages to all weapons and calibers so arguments can be made for and against all of them. At the end of the day, the shot placement will determine the lethality of any weapon and that depends on the shooter.

When the SHTF, guns can be re-purposed to be used as needed.

I wouldn't want to get shot with a pellet gun. Your point is...?

Reliability is paramount, above ALL other considerations. With respect to noobs, ARs, and emergency circumstances - EPIC FAIL.

ETA: I've spent a lot of time around seasoned combat vets in the past three decades, and the objective types CONSISTENTLY recognize and appreciate the serious (and potentially fatal) shortcomings of the poodle-shooter (where do you think I picked up that term?).

what rambler said. i've been shooting since age 6, and i'm not even comfortable with my ar. i'd sell it in 2 seconds if i could get out of it what i have invested. i always feel like "oh, shit is it going to work this round?"

So you would rather have an unreliable gun to save money rather than a reliable gun to save your life? Makes no sense.

Well, you call it a poodle shooter, yet it is deadly as all hell. Out to about 500 yards, much farther than an AK-47.

The AR-15's today are a much different gun than the AR-15's of 30-40 years ago. Much more reliable. You perpetuate myths with cute little phrases to sound all experty. Thanks for playing.

Wanna argue about calibers now? That's a real productive thing to do.
