With all the race stuff going on right now, I started wondering just what the racial demographic of GS-US is. I'm personally white - my father's side of the family is German/Norse, and my mother's family comes from Wales.

The black dude is the General, I think. He was going to be the General of Blackness, but we thought that might be too much, and talked him out of it.

I'm with Gaillo, we need some diversity here. Perhaps, we should start recruiting some minorities here. We could have a Hispanic posting day, or a Black Panther Party subforum and give them mod capabilities. Maybe we should change the name of the Lounge, to the Mosque.

I'm a mutt. My father's father was born in the hills of Rome on an apple orchard - a genuine Latin redneck. His wife, my grandmother was from Siena. My mother's father was Neopolitan and her mother was Genoese. Italians are notoriously tribal and competitive. Italy would break up into twenty small countries given the opportunity. I consider myself an American, like my father before me. My paternal grandfather came over in the 1880s as a small boy. Legend has it he with two brothers and an uncle were chased out of Italy for the latter killing a man who stole apples. In the old country, such things (absolute property rights) were commonplace until the laws changed in the late 19th century.

One one side of my family (Dad) has been in this country since the 1700's from England, have a land grant from King George for our plantation in SC. My moms dad was born in England and came to the US as a boy, and her mother was born just after her family came from Ireland, her Dad's family also has Irish in it. So I have never done the exact math but as near as makes no difference I am 50/50 English/Irish.

You all are mixing terms... The poll said "Race" Poll... not Nationality Poll?

There is a difference... and shouldn't be used interchangeably.

Race is something you are born with - it's what you are genetically.

Nationality is determined by WHERE you were born - so you could be genetically Chinese, but if you were born in America, your nationality is American.

Ethnicity is somewhere between the two. It is used these days by politically correct people to mean "race", because they want to avoid using the word. But actually it doesn't mean the same as race. Ethnicity relates to the traditional culture of a particular community or population. It's likely that the people who follow that traditional culture will be of the same race, but it is possible that some of them will be of mixed race, or of another race altogether.

I'm a mutt - but I have a good awareness of my parts.

On my Father's father's side, My ancestors came from England in the early 1700's. One has fought in the Rev war, Civil war and WWII. That line going back has been traced by others from England to Normandy at the time of the Norman Conquest in 1066. The linage retracement going back to this point is quite solid.
After that it is lost in folklore, but I did happen to recover a genealogy tracing that Norman Duke's linage into Sweden where he came from a long line of kings many generations long thru the Dark ages and covering the time that Rome ruled the world. Then into the realm of Norway for a brief couple of generations. Suddenly, the line jumps to Troy in the 12th century BC I believe and is retraced all the way to Abraham. I can't recall what tribe it ran through (Dan perhaps?), but I can assure you it was not Judah.

My Father's Mother's line is almost as interesting... But for brevity, on that side I'm mostly Irish but also 1/256 Choctaw and 1/64 Cherokee.

My Mother's side - My Grandmother got knocked up in Belgium during the war. so... Family tree dead end lol.

I'm primarily German in descent as far as I know, from both my mother and father's side. My last name is derived from the German words for cattle drovers, so I have an idea of what my ancestors did. My grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother all lived in Germany and all shared the same name, which we gave to my daughter. They also passed down a very old sterling silverware set with their name engraved on one of the spoons, which we will also pass down to her. My mom was an only child and my dad was the only child in his family to get married and have a family, so myself and my siblings all feel strongly connected to our ancestors.

The little town in Minnesota where I went to school is about 35% Norwegians, 30% Swedes, 10% Germans, and then the odd assorted English, Irish, Scots and a few Cheks.

5 Lutheran churches, Norwegian Lutheran, Swedish Lutheran, American Lutheran, Holy Roller Missouri Synod Lutheran and a German Lutheran in the nearby countryside. I should add that was way back then, today there are only 2 Lutheran churchs, American and Missouri Synod.

from the Galicia area in NW Spain.

Many hispanics do not recognize me as Hispanic. Many do though. For example, a cashier at a CVS was having brief conversations with each customer
as they came to pay. Every one of them was Hispanic, and she spoke to them in Spanish. My turn to pay comes and she says hello to me in English, & has a conversation with me in English.

Many Cubans don't believe I'm Cuban. Before they ask me a question they say things like "well I don't know how you say it in your country, but in my country we...etc,"

It's very frustrating because sometimes it's hard to fit in with the Hispanics because they don't identify me as one of their own.

It's also frustrating to sometimes to interact with white Americans because they think I'm Hispanic.

Dark sheep could mean many things.

I know a pure white woman who was born and raised in Africa and she refers to herself as African. Fine. White as the snow, and speaks with an almost british accent, but she's African.

...as was mentioned earlier in the thread, there's a difference between race and nationality. she is african if she was born and raised there, same as we are canadians...

I think I may have a 1/64th or 1/128th of Samic blood in me. My maternal grandmother is from the north of Sweden. I am blond and blue eyed, but when I smile I look a tad Asian around my eyes...

Excellent! I drive every day between Asia and Europe on the crowded streets of Istanbul faster than most (I usually say that it is like playing Space Invaders, no one below the age of 35 understands)... But I must say I don't understand the question...

I voted "other" as I do on every race check box, always.

Hey, Irish people weren't considered white for some 2000+ years of history why should that change now?

"Other Power!"

That is kinda interesting to me as I suppose the Irish and Scottish are true Jews. So it's like the other 10 tribes said, "f them, they killed Jesus."

The situation is so convoluted though...

I'm willing to let it slide and concentrate on the fake ones. :)

I guess we don't have a rolleyes smiley or I would use it.

Read the 50 Bible Reasons The Jews Are Not Israel, and also the Identity Challenge, and you will see that these people claiming to be jews are not but are the synagogue of satan as Rev 2:9 and 3:9 state. They ARE the ones who killed Christ but the term jew being translated from the greek judean is what confuses people and as we have explained in this thread it is so dumb to class people by geographic region and not by race.

I'm aware of all the 'standardness'. The tricky part is when did the real Jews allow the fake Jews to capture their identity without a fight.

Perhaps I should have gone with, "Maybe the other whites didn't like the Irish from when the House of Israel (10 tribes) and House of Judah (2 tribes) split, like 600b.c. or whatev, and somehow continued through tradition."

So to reiterate, I'm just reminding that there are real Jews, and when I say this I mean House of Judah.

So in this verse :

Jeremiah 9:11 Then the LORD said to me, “A conspiracy has been found among the men of Judah and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

I see men of Judah as Irish and Scottish (possibly even Belarus Russians) - probably just the nobility, and inhabitants of Jerusalem as the crossbreeds.

Why would the nobility do this?

Because then they could legislate against Deut 4:2 and rob everyones land.

Numbers 33:54 'You shall inherit the land by lot according to your families; to the larger you shall give more inheritance, and to the smaller you shall give less inheritance. Wherever the lot falls to anyone, that shall be his. You shall inherit according to the tribes of your fathers.
