1 April 2012

There are two stories that have come to light recently, the first is the awarding of a contract to a munitions manufacturer for 450,000,000 (http://pprnnews.prepperpodcast.com/why-does-the-department-of-homeland-security-need-450-million-hollow-point-bullets/)hollow point rounds for the .40 caliber. The second story which I wrote (http://pprnnews.prepperpodcast.com/450-million-rounds-of-ammo-this-isnt-the-first-time/), is how the Department of Homeland Security had already ordered 200,000,000 rounds of .40 caliber, but also ordered 15,000 gun cleaning kits for the .40 caliber weapons, and has put a request out for a virtual shooting gallery for the .40 caliber handguns.

650,000,000 round of ammunition is quite a bit of lead and brass. It will sure to drive the price of copper and brass way up. But Homeland Security is not alone in their requests. The other departments, the ones that handle mundane things like meat quality – believe they need to be armed to the teeth. It’s enough to make a non-paranoid person, well, paranoid.

The US Department of Agriculture put a bid in for a wide variety of ammunition. I guess raiding farms and raw milk dairies can be VERY dangerous work. The required rounds are listed below, and include shotgun slugs.

Frangible rounds – for those who don’t know, are rounds that are designed to break (http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/munitions/frangible.htm) apart when they hit walls or other hard surfaces to prevent ricochets during close-quarters combat.

And the Department of the Interior needs ammunition as well, but much less, and put the order out on September 2011:

The US Fish and WildLife Services require the following items, Exact Match Only, to the following:
1. Remington Frangible .40 Caliber Pistol Ammunition – 2,500 rounds
2. Remington .40 Caliber Pistol Ammunition (180 grain) Full Metal Jacket – 6,000 rounds
3. Remington .223 Caliber Rifle Ammunition (62 grain) Full Metal Jacket – 3,000 rounds
4. Remington FX Marking Cartridges (9 mm) – 2,000 rounds

These requirements seem normal considering the possibility of running into grizzly bears and wolverines. These, to me, are acceptable quantities to order.

And of course the FBI needs 100,000,000 rounds of .40 caliber ammunition for law enforcement needs. It posted the request November 15, 2011 and the order will be awarded this week. Oddly, it states a fixed price indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity type contract; however the pricing requirements go up to 100,000,000 rounds.

So with that large order, we now can move the total “excess” number of .40 caliber rounds that is needed by this administration to 750,000,000 rounds.

Because we live in a free society they feel they must be armed against Amish folk who want to sell people raw milk, like most humans on this planet drink. Maybe the USDA needs the ammunition to fight the evil cadre of “Lemonade Stands” that will soon be terrorizing people walking down sidewalks in Suburbia America.

How can a government justify 2.2 rounds per American citizen? Granted, ammunition does have a great shelf life, but this is utterly ridiculous!

The best way to avoid a civil war is not to start one. If “they” are planning to start one, then it would make sense to arm yourself and take away the guns of the citizenry. If this is just for “work”, ie, to stop bad guys, then the numbers just don’t make sense.

As Sherlock Holmes would say, “When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth”. We are running out of the impossibles and the improbables. The leftovers are unconscionable and frightening. The game is afoot my friends. Evil in the guise of a benevolent government is still evil. Will the characters be unmasked in time for our free country to remain free, or will we be another stiff on the slab of history.

If they are going create legislation which restricts ammo, it can't be done instantly. There will be a delay between when the law is passed and when it takes effect. People will be buying hundreds of millions of rounds in that time period.

However, if they drive the price way up before they do the legislation, they are locking up the supply and driving up the price beforehand. That way ammo will be so expensive that people won't be able to buy much even though they know they won't be able to get it anymore.

Big Sis needs more ammunition – this time for training

Readying for War? DHS Federal Law Enforcement Training Center Puts in Order for More Ammo : (http://theintelhub.com/2012/04/16/readying-for-war-dhs-federal-law-enforcement-training-center-puts-in-order-for-more-ammo/)

Over the last month we have reported (http://theintelhub.com/?s=DHS+AMMO) on the numerous and increasingly alarming purchases of hollow point ammuntion by the Department of Homeland Security.

While many have claimed that it is completely normal for domestic government agencies to order (http://theintelhub.com/2012/04/06/alert-dhs-buys-up-millions-of-rounds-of-40-caliber-hollow-point-ammo-police-state-takeover/) over 750 (http://theintelhub.com/2012/04/05/the-us-government-has-ordered-over-750-million-rounds-of-40-caliber-hollow-point-ammunition-in-the-last-three-years/) million rounds of .40 caliber hollow point ammo, the fact remains that these purchases have been anything but normal and signal a full scale militarization of various government agencies that could one day (http://theintelhub.com/2012/04/09/dhs-preparing-for-civil-war-in-the-us/) take on the American people.

Now, a new post (https://www.fbo.gov/?s=opportunity&mode=form&id=4298c91db5ec1f5fd3f69bad51e6109b&tab=core&_cview=1) on the infamous FBO.gov website by Homeland Security is once against raising eyebrows.
In the request, the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation shows that the following ammunition is set to be delivered in May.
Item No . Description Qty Unit
001 .22 long rifle, 36 grains hollow point (HP) 5000 TH
002 .308 175 grains match boat tail hollow point (BTHP) 1000 EA
003 .45 ACP 230 grains jacketed hollow point (JHP) 500 EA
004 .45 Colt / Long Colt, 25 grains lead 100 EA
005 .300 AAC black out, 125 grains open tip match 250 EA
006 .44 mangnum, 240 grains jacketed soft point 100 EA
007 .44 special, 240 grains lead flat nose 100 EA
008 .22 magnum, 40 grains jacketed hollow point 400 EA
009 .30-30 winchester, 150 grains soft point 100 EA
010 12 GA, # 8 bird shot 400 EA
011 .30-06, 168 grains match 500 EA
In an article appearing on the Prepper Podcast website (http://pprnnews.prepperpodcast.com/big-sis-needs-more-ammunition-this-time-for-training/#axzz1sDPI3rjy), James Smith commented on the fact that the above ammunition is essentially the most basic and common ammo that you might find in an everyday American’s house.
These caliber types are consistent with a variety of handguns and rifle, as if they were familiarizing new shooters on a variety of weapons, from .22 caliber to the 12 gauge shotgun, up to 100 rounds of 44 magnum ammunition.

It almost seems they are training “personnel” on how to use weapons that would be in most people’s homes.

Regardless of the reason, if asked they will never tell us the truth and this all falls under the umbrella of “National Security”.
At first this request for ammunition for “training” purposes at a DHS Federal Law Enforcement Training Center seems somewhat customary but when you factor in the hundreds of millions of .40 caliber rounds (http://theintelhub.com/2012/04/04/usda-orders-326000-rounds-of-ammunition-as-homeland-security-stays-quiet-over-450-million-round-order/), bullet proof checkpoints (http://theintelhub.com/2012/04/05/dhs-purchases-bullet-resistant-checkpoint-booths-amid-large-scale-ammo-buildup/), and literal armored attack vehicles (http://www.infowars.com/homeland-security-unveils-monstrous-swat-trucks/), a clear cut picture emerges.

Aspects of various domestic federal agencies are preparing for what they must believe will be a large scale confrontation with either a large influx of immigrants or the American people themselves.

DHS Purchases Bullet Resistant Checkpoint Booths Amid Large Scale Ammo Buildup (http://theintelhub.com/2012/04/05/dhs-purchases-bullet-resistant-checkpoint-booths-amid-large-scale-ammo-buildup/)

April 4, 2012

The Department of Homeland Security has made news in the past few weeks with the revelations that they have purchased up to 650 million rounds of .40 caliber hollow point ammunition.

Now, despite ignoring requests as to why they need that much ammo, they have moved forward and purchased an unknown amount of bullet resistant booths to possibly be stationed at unannounced checkpoints throughout the country.

A press release (http://news.thomasnet.com/companystory/Shelters-Direct-Builds-Bullet-Resistant-Booths-for-Homeland-Security-612684) from the company that supplied the booths bragged about the sale:

Press release date: April 4, 2012

Owner: Department of Homeland Security

Project Description:

Shelters Direct provided the Department of Homeland Security with this 4×13 Steel UL 752 Level 3 Bullet Resistant Booth.

This guard building features a standing seam hip roof, a thru-wall HVAC unit, (2) UL 752 BR Level 3 sliding doors, UL 752 Bullet Resistant Level 3 glass and a Low]E coating.

These booths seem destined to be used at checkpoints throughout the country as DHS and other government agencies continue their full scale takeover of America.

As we have heavily reported (http://theintelhub.com/?s=DHS+.40) in the last few weeks, numerous government agencies have went on an ammo buying spree, with the total amount reaching well over 700 million rounds.

“In the last three years numerous domestic US government agencies have ordered a total of over 750 million rounds of .40 caliber ammunition.

That’s right, multiple government agencies that specifically operate primary inside the United States have gone on a literal ammunition spending spree in preparation for what they must believe will be some sort of violent event.”

Whether it be 140 million packets (http://theintelhub.com/2011/01/24/fema-requests-information-on-the-availability-of-140-million-packets-of-food-blankets-and-body-bags/) of emergency food, detention centers (http://theintelhub.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/dhs_janet.jpg) in all 50 states, 750 million rounds (http://theintelhub.com/2012/04/05/the-us-government-has-ordered-over-750-million-rounds-of-40-caliber-hollow-point-ammunition-in-the-last-three-years/) of ammo, or numerous bullet resistant checkpoint booths, the Department of Homeland Security is clearly gearing up for something.

Note: You can view a picture of the booths here. (http://www.sheltersdirect.com/product.php?id=80#)
