I heard it failed too... Just like Palani's arguments for avoiding arrest...

UPDATE: [7:45pm ET]: This story will be updated as events unfold.
A U.S. official has confirmed that a North Korean long-range missile broke apart midair after launch, ABC News reports. U.S. officials say they believe the missile fell apart within the Earth's atmosphere before crashing into the sea.
The U.N. Security Council will meet Friday to discuss a response to the North's attempted launch.
South Korea's Defense Ministry first reported the launch, which is seen as defying international warnings and widely viewed as a provocation from the rogue nation.
Defense Ministry spokesman Kim Min-seok told reporters in a nationally televised news conference that the rocket was fired at 7:39 a.m.
The launch comes after weeks of speculation regarding the possible launch, which North Korea's government says is being done to send a weather satellite into orbit. If true, it would represent the third failed attempt by North Korea to send a satellite into space since 1998.
North Korea says it was timing the launch to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the country's former leader, Kim Il Sung, which they are celebrating Sunday

North Korea's entire rocket program is set back 10 years since all current rocket scientists have been relegated to prison camps.

Made it pretty far before it was shot down, kinda makes you think they might be able to put someone in hurt.

I was so fearful of this too. The thought NK might have a missle that can reach the US someday makes me shiver.

I'm so glad the US was able to take it out with our superior satalite missle defense systems.
Oh, that's something that is not talked about...that would take the away fear.

North Korean Officials ask Palani to explain to Westerners that Rocket launch was not a failure, nor shot down by violence, wit, or any other action, or non-action or circumvention...

Back during Katrina the North Koreans came out and accused GW Bush of sending the Louisiana National Guard to Iraq for protection from the hurricane. They appeared to be convinced that the U.S. government had materialized Katrina on purpose.

It was quite humorous really. You have to admire hard core enemies who could tell these sort of stories with a straight face. Almost as good as the testimony Congress took from the nurse in Kuwait who reported that the Iraqi soldiers were turning premature babies out of their incubators.
