Come on JJ!

Obama is the modern day 'Porch Monkey', and Manning goes through the real history of the term. The Elite have chosen one of the slaves to act as a buffer zone between all of the other slaves. They created a multi racial slave, dressed him in a nice suit and leather shoes and allow him to feel as though he is of more importance than the other slaves. In the early days the 'Porch Monkey' would sit on the porch and warn the Masters if anyone was coming, if there were any problems around, and to generally keep the other slaves in line. They were well fed and well dressed, to make them feel as if they mattered.
