Anyone got info on them ?

The far-right Golden Dawn party is set to win 7 percent of the parliamentary vote, according to early projections, as Greeks punished the traditionally dominant parties who backed harsh austerity measures tied to debt-relief agreements.

Parties must exceed a 3-percent threshold of the vote to be represented in Greece's parliament. In the last general election in 2009, Golden Dawn received merely 0.29 percent. It has seen its support jump as a wave of anti-immigrant sentiment has spread in financially devastated Greece.

Golden Dawn leader Nikolaos Michaloliakos told The Associated Press in an interview that his party had delivered a blow against the country's corrupt leadership.

"They slandered us, slung mud at us, and shut us out of all the news media -- the TV channels of the corrupt elite -- and we beat them," the 55-year-old leader said as the votes came in. "The day of national revolution by the Greeks has begun against those who are selling us out and looting the sweat of the Greek people."

Golden Dawn campaigned hard against illegal immigration, and its supporters have been blamed for a recent spike in inner-city street attacks against mostly Asian immigrants.

Michaloliakos said his party would fight against "world usurers" and the "slavery" of an EU-IMF loan agreement which he likened to a "dictatorship".

I just got in, haven't had a good chance to read results.

So far some big news out of Greece.

The Euro Bond market is going to get hit hard with this news.

Have a look at this headline,

UBS On The Greek Elections: 'Be Worried, Be Very Worried' - Business Insider (http://www.businessinsider.com/ubs-on-the-greek-elections-be-worried-be-very-worried-2012-5)

-----------------------

@ OP they are Nationalists for the most part, there are children and
Grandmas that go to their rallies and parades, they say crazy things
like " Greece for Greeks ", MSM/Leftists paint them as " nazis ", which is nonsense.

Here are some poll numbers, very messed up, new parties came out of
nowhere with seats in parliament, that is quite incredible for Greece,
quite incredible for PASOK to get wiped out, and quite incredible that
ND couldn't muster more support. Some right wing ND governments in
past tried to do something, their efforts were undone by PASOK,
the massive debts are all their doing going back decades, the Papandreou family,
bankster plants with a history, 3 generations of Papandreou traitors.
GREEK EXIT POLLS: New Democracy Biggest Winners - Business Insider (http://www.businessinsider.com/greek-exit-polls-are-out-2012-5)

I want to know what people on the ground in Greece are saying,
not filtered through the Greek media, which is compromised, I often
ask my parents what they are reporting, and I am more informative
to them, by using English Media sources, they know they are listening
to a leftist whitewashed censored media.

Colorful name historically, to say the least.

The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn (or, more commonly, the Golden Dawn) was a magical order (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magical_organization) active in Great Britain (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Britain) during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, which practiced theurgy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theurgy) and spiritual development. It has been one of the largest single influences on 20th-century Western occultism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occultism).[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermetic_Order_of_the_Golden_Dawn#cite_note-0)[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermetic_Order_of_the_Golden_Dawn#cite_note-1)
Concepts of magic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_%28paranormal%29) and ritual at the center of contemporary traditions, such as Wicca (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wicca)[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermetic_Order_of_the_Golden_Dawn#cite_note-Colquhoun-2)[4] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermetic_Order_of_the_Golden_Dawn#cite_note-3) and Thelema (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thelema), were inspired by the Golden Dawn.
The three founders, William Robert Woodman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Robert_Woodman), William Wynn Westcott (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Wynn_Westcott), and Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samuel_Liddell_MacGregor_Mathers) were Freemasons (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freemasons) and members of Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Societas_Rosicruciana_in_Anglia) (S.R.I.A.).[5] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermetic_Order_of_the_Golden_Dawn#cite_note-4) Westcott appears to have been the initial driving force behind the establishment of the Golden Dawn.
The Golden Dawn system was based on hierarchy and initiation like the Masonic Lodges (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masonic_Lodge); however women were admitted on an equal basis with men. The "Golden Dawn" was the first of three Orders, although all three are often collectively referred to as the "Golden Dawn". The First Order taught esoteric philosophy based on the Hermetic Qabalah (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermetic_Qabalah) and personal development through study and awareness of the four Classical Elements (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classical_Elements) as well as the basics of astrology (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astrology), tarot divination (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarot_divination), and geomancy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geomancy). The Second or "Inner" Order, the Rosae Rubeae et Aureae Crucis (the Ruby Rose and Cross of Gold), taught proper magic, including scrying (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrying), astral travel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astral_projection), and alchemy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alchemy). The Third Order was that of the "Secret Chiefs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secret_Chiefs)", who were said to be highly skilled; they supposedly directed the activities of the lower two orders by spirit communication with the Chiefs of the Second Order.

Today's political movement.

Golden Dawn (Greek (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_language): Χρυσή Αυγή, Chrysi Avyi, Greek pronunciation: [xriˈsi avˈʝi] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:IPA_for_Greek)) is a Greek (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greece) nationalist far-right (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Far-right_politics) political organization founded in 1993, and led by Nikolaos Michaloliakos (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikolaos_Michaloliakos).
Golden Dawn temporarily ceased political operations in 2005, and was absorbed by the Patriotic Alliance (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patriotic_Alliance). The Alliance in turn ceased operations after Michaloliakos withdrew support. In March 2007, Golden Dawn held its sixth congress, where Party officials announced the resumption of their political activism. At local elections (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_local_elections,_2010) on November 7, 2010 Golden Dawn got 5.3% of the vote in the municipality of Athens, winning a seat at the City Council. In some neighbourhoods with big immigrant communities it even reached 20%.[8] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Dawn_%28Greece%29#cite_note-NYCtimes-7) In the general elections held on 6 May 2012, exit polls showed Golden Dawn polling between 5 and 8 percent of the vote, enough to enter parliament for the first time.[9] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Dawn_%28Greece%29#cite_note-8)
Golden Dawn described itself as a "People's Nationalist Movement" and "uncompromising Nationalists."[10] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Dawn_%28Greece%29#cite_note-MichaloliakosInterview-9) Michaloliakos described Golden Dawn as opposing the "so-called Enlightenment (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_Enlightenment)" and the Industrial Revolution (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Industrial_Revolution).[10] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Dawn_%28Greece%29#cite_note-MichaloliakosInterview-9)[11] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Dawn_%28Greece%29#cite_note-IosHist-10) According to the Party's charter, "only Aryans (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aryan_race) in blood and Greeks (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greeks) in descent can be candidate members of Golden Dawn".[11] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Dawn_%28Greece%29#cite_note-IosHist-10) The charter also puts the leader in total control of the party, and formalizes the use of the Hitlergruss (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitlergruss) for party members.[11] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Dawn_%28Greece%29#cite_note-IosHist-10) At first, the party embraced neo-Pagan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neopaganism) beliefs, in accordance to Nazi occultism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_occultism), describing Marxism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marxism) and liberalism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberalism) as "the ideological carriers of Judeo-Christianity (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judeo-Christian)."[12] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Dawn_%28Greece%29#cite_note-ReligionXA-11)[Third-party source needed (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Independent_sources)] Later, however, the party underwent ideological changes, embracing Eastern Orthodox Christianity (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Orthodox_Church).[13] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Dawn_%28Greece%29#cite_note-Ios2000-12)

I don't know, but it'd really surprise me if that political movement was so ignorant of the past use of the "Golden Dawn" name that they'd use it accidentally.

Hermeticism/Rosicrucianism is exceedingly interesting.

The closest you can get to Hogwarts.

Athens - Greek neo-Nazi party Golden Dawn warned rivals and reformers on Sunday that "the time for fear has come" after exit polls showed them securing their entry in parliament for the first time in nearly 40 years.

"The time for fear has come for those who betrayed this homeland," Golden Dawn leader Nikos Michaloliakos told a news conference at an Athens hotel, flanked by menacing shaven-headed young men.

"We are coming," the 55-year-old said as supporters threw firecrackers outside.
According to updated exit polls, the once-marginal party will end up winning over six percent of the vote and sending 19 deputies to the 300-seat parliament on a wave of immigration and crime fears, as well as anti-austerity anger.
Exulting in the apparent breakthrough, Michaloliakos quoted Julius Caesar: "Veni, Vidi, Vici" - I came, I saw, I conquered.

Michaloliakos said his party would fight against "world usurers" and the "slavery" of an EU-IMF loan agreement which he likened to a "dictatorship".

"Greece is only the beginning," he shouted at reporters as he walked to the news conference, accusing foreign media of spreading lies about his movement.
At the last general election in 2009, the virulently anti-immigrant group had scored just 0.29%.

Once part of the country's political fringe, the Hryssi Avgi (Golden Dawn) had already made headlines in 2010 by electing Michaloliakos, 55, to Athens' city council on a wave of anti-immigration tension in the capital's poorer districts.
Break agreement

Shortly after being elected to the council thanks to more than 10 000 votes in the Greek capital, Michaloliakos made waves by giving two fascist salutes captured by a television camera.

A mathematician, Michaloliakos has said Greece could survive "very nicely" without the EU-IMF recovery deal.

"Certainly we should break the agreement," he told the Athens News English-language weekly last month.

"After that, we will survive very nicely. Greece is a rich country," he said, adding that the country would not necessarily have to return to the drachma.
On his agenda, Michaloliakos said his focus would be on "national issues, social issues, the problem of illegal immigration, attribution of responsibility for all scandals."

All illegal migrants "should leave our country," he said.
Golden Dawn has strengthened on the back of the country's deep economic crisis - it has been bailed out twice - with unemployment at 20% and poverty rising...(more der)
